Okay, I lied, I just got overwhelmed and came to the first place I saw lol

Retired AP poster Deadkidsean repped it hardcore for years. It took me a few tries to like, hook in? I guess? to the pod, but like I said I completely immersed myself in the catalog between last March and like two weeks ago, lol. It made me lose any and all interest in other pods for the time being. I'm an ant to the death, now

It's so different than the other comedy pods I listen to. Sean and I talk a lot about why and I think it comes down to the guys knowing each other for decades. There's such a natural rapport and it's stripped of irony. It became comfort food, for me

 

The Time Keeper is my favorite character. Haha. I'm pretty much a sucker for any episode in which Lauren Lapkus is featured. But, those that spring to mind are the kid detective episodes, heynong man, Don Demello episode where they figure out he is the source of evil, Tiny episodes, etc. The list could go on. It is pretty much my go to podcast on my way home from work.

 

Hahah. Yeah, that's kinda been what I've been doing. Finally went through and respond to some Facebook posts. I kinda avoid that website like the plague. I like the people that thought I should just never change it. Like, I'm 33. I started that fucking thing when I was 13. Am I required to do that forever? Haha.

The Andy Daly/Zouk eps are my absolute favorite, just a masterclass

Have you listened to Lapkus' W/ Special Guest pod? I only heard the first few but didn't enjoy it as much, I assume it depends episode to episode

I can ask around on this for you. I know some people who went through Groundlings and Second City and loved it though

 

Sometimes I hear the Modern Family commercial music and it sounds like the theme to Oz. It gets me once a week

I checked it out. It is hit or miss with me. There was an episode a couple of months ago that featured Eliza Skinner which I thoroughly enjoyed. I will have to look into some of the podcasts that have been recommended thus far. I've been meaning to listen to Hollywood Handbook and How Did This Get Made?

 

this is still the best, especially when they convinced the internet it was a real RHCP song and everyone got so mad

 

That would be amazing! Considering taking a couple months to do UCB classes once I have a good amount of money set aside (if the family would be willing to enjoy SoCal for a couple months which may strangely enough be possible)

Both amazing shows, I regularly keep up with HH. An aquired taste to say the least, but when it clicks it's probably the most consistently funny show currently running

I love everyone on HDTGM, I just never got around to going through most of the catalog. Will eventually

The show is mostly very good. I'd definitely try it out if you're itchin' to watch a comedy show.

CBB has been on a pretty nice roll this year, so if/when you do decide to catch up, you'll be in for some great stuff.

Depends on the episode, definitely. I haven't listened to it in a little while now (one of the casualties from Doughboys) but even the ones that weren't great were at least decent for me. Some really good ones, though. I'm sure you can figure out which ones just based on the guest if you are looking to dive back in.

 

NNF has an insanely intimidating backlog to get into, especially since I like running through an entire show. Don't have that money to shell out, either. Love Pardo, though

 

I honestly can't wait for TESD fever to eventually hit the site. Yall will be incapacitated for years listening to that
