Thanks for the explanation. Aside from that particular part I couldn't tell any of those minor adjustments were done with Melodyne. And apparently my ears were wrong about that... my song however (our lawyers made us...) I thought it was obviously doctored. I've only used the plugin once or twice but I can see me wanting to spend more time learning it. It helped more than it hurt as far as the overall sound of the song although it bugged me every time I heard those pitch shifted parts.

I know we're doing Best of 2016 for January. Any ideas for February? I'd like to do a Andrew McMahon showcase where we can either do Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin or ...In The Wilderness songs.

But I'd like to hear what other ideas people have

So yeah, I won't keep a list of what everyone is doing, but definitely feel free to call out ones you are interested in doing, and of course, feel free to collaborate with others if you want to. If we end up with a couple of duplicate song choices, I do not see that as a bad thing. Having multiple interpretations of a single song could be really cool.

Can I do a song that was on an album in 2015 but wasn't released as a video until 2016?

 

I've got some ideas of what I'd like, but I'm gonna hold off calling dibs until I can find an arrangement I like.

 

I have a pretty simple arrangement for both of my songs, but learning them was a super rewarding process.
