FAD is the only one that has held up well for me since I got into this band a few years ago

 

FAD is the one I think will age the best.

 

Patrick's voice and enunciation have improved so much, I mean the " also evil also into cats" memes are funny but he's clearly gotten better even if the old stuff is good in its own right

 

Lol I'll always remember listening to tttyg in my car and a few songs in, the person in the car with me just finally snapped and yelled "omg am I the only one who can't understand wtf he's singing?! What is happening?!?!"

 

I think Folie was their best. I don't hate SRAR or ABAP but neither album effected me the way the others did when they came out. Fall Out Boy used to be my favorite band. More than that they were the first band I really loved. It's a little dissapointing that I haven't been in love with the last two, but I guess everyone changes. I just changed in a different direction than them.

 

TTTYG has Mick, Pros and Cons, Calm Before the Storm and Patron Saint of Liars which I think still hold up and are great songs. When that album dropped I never would have called them pop, they jam out pretty hard in some parts of that album. It's a shame they only play Grand Theft and Saturday from from it live.

Their new electronic stuff is pretty bad and the band always looks so bored playing it live. No thanks.

 

I feel like Mick doesn't hold up at all. Those lyrics.....

Lyrics don't mean as much to me. I like the melody, the instruments and the structure of the song.

 

And I can't think of a lot of FOB songs that have good lyrics lol. It's not why I liked them.

 

Dark Alley is a lyrical masterpiece and I will not hear otherwise!!

I don't listen to FOB often anymore but when I tried to think of my favorite song of theirs I had a 5-way tie oop

 

but you just described negative qualities for a song to have

 

I wanted so badly to like SRAR, but I hate it by now. I'm really hoping for a return to form for the next FOB album. I think they still have it in them.

 

I don't think they want to return to any previous form, is the thing there

Haven't liked a single thing FOB put out since Cork Tree.

 

XO is pretty much the only song i care enough to listen to by them. their lyrics are just so bad
