Did you hear/like the new Trap Them? I'm still excited about that one.

 

With all this love that the new John K record is getting, am I the only one who was a bit let down by it?

First half is perfect, but from Vampire Alberta Blues onward, I feel like the second half just can't hold a candle to the first and sort of drags.

If this had been 10-11 songs long, it would have been an awesome record, but this way it feels really uneven.

I think a few other people in the album thread had similar thoughts, or at least found "Quiz Night" and "Alpha Adept" to be the weakest part of the album. But I really like those two together, and the second half also has my two favorite songs, "Fellow Traveler" and "Virtute At Rest."

 

Actually, I loved that album! I left off some of the metal I loved! It was a really good year for the metal community

 

I'm so glad I am seeing a lot of Balance and Composure! I feel the album got shredded when it first came out, but the album is so incredibly good for late night,early morning drives! So good!
