I tried two of the lil grillers from sonic and they weren't great.

 

I want to, man. It's out in Ft. Worth so I'm thinking I might make a day of it and drive out there this (or next) weekend. It just opened up like a week ago so idk if there are lines or not, but if I go, I'll let you and the thread know about it.

 

Sonic usually isn't.

Right on. I'm not sure if I'll go tomorrow or Sunday... if at all, but if timing works out and I'm able to do it, I'll definitely shoot you a text. Does one day/time work better for you? Maybe we should move this convo to the DFW thread and see if we can round up anyone else.

 

My pregnant wife goes through 2 bags of Sonic Ice a week...only thing they're good for.

Sonic has good rings, oh we're not talking about the hedgehog

 

out of mcdonalds, sonic, and dairy queen I'll take dq's ice cream/shakes/malts every time.

 

I don't go to DQ

They're pretty few and far between

And all I ever got there was like dipped cones and sundaes

 

I don't think there are any Sonics in New York even though they play the commercials constantly

 

finally something i was sorta kinda excited about there and they fuck it up. sad

 

DQ would absolutely not be in business if not for their "cool treats"


their food is largely awful, even tho I fuck with the flamethrower and that bread and gravy in the chicken tenders box

 

I haven't tried the lil grillers yet, but I had a regular grilled cheese at Sonic a couple of weeks ago because they ran a promo and they were only 50cents. It SUCKED... BAD. Two pieces of warm (not really toasted) white bread with one slice of (not really) melted Kraft Single.

 

They played the commercials constantly in North Jersey for years until they finally opened one. When they opened one it was INSANELY busy for the first few months. It was on a highway and the line would back up into the highway to the point they needed to get police officers stationed on the highway to keep people from crashing into the line.

So much for a mediocre fast food establishment.

Great marketing though gotta give em that.

 

there are some DQ's around here that are only Cool Treats. they also all usually close in the winter in these parts.
