I know the biggest problem is that I live in an apartment that was converted from a garage and the main house is the only one that has direct internet access so I have really weak wifi access. I ordered a different router to see if that helps.

I can. I just haven't had the chance to yet. If all else fails I can do that on Saturday or Sunday after work. I'm not stressing too much about it, I just didn't know what this would entail. Haha

    Hell of an intro sequence.

Just beat the game myself. A couple of frustrating puzzles near the end, but otherwise was a lot of fun.

I just started playing Alto's Adventure on Windows 10. It's quite good.

I told myself i was done with telltale until they fixed their engine but one of my friends convinced me to play batman and new walking dead

I really enjoyed the first episode of both.

I must say, even as a person with good internet, the whole "install before playing thing" drives me crazy with most modern games. I always buy disc-based (collector and like the option to sell something if it doesn't keep my attention) and even then, I find myself having to delete something on my XB/PS4 any time I buy a new game. I get the purpose of it all I suppose, I'm just like "please just let me play from disc and keep HD for updates!!"

It's definitely the worst thing about modern video gaming. I recently connected my controller to my Xbox One and it pushed through an update for my controller and it made me question my life choices.

I feel like my Xbox has a system update literally every single time I turn it on. It was a running joke with my wife every time we tried to watch something on HBO Go -- I'd boot up the Xbox and we'd have to endure 30 minutes of updating and by the time it was done we barely wanted to watch anything.

I appreciate the nature of keeping things at their best, especially when it comes to consoles themselves, but games annoy me more than anything. I hate the whole process of having to make room every time I buy a new game, having to plan to set time aside and plan to install a game when I plan to play it just annoys me so much.

I just finished the first Trails in the Sky, and wow, what an ending. I really need to get the second one immediately.

Wonderful game, the best JRPG series right now.

They did such an amazing job building the world and characters. I wish I had the $30 to spend to buy the second chapter.

Looks like Giant Bomb missed the three best games of the year. Someone send them The Last Guardian, Dark Souls 3 and Uncharted 4 asap.

Uncharted 4 was a last second cut. Dark Souls 3 was mentioned but neither of the guys who played it heavily felt it was deserving of top 10.

I think only Alex played TLG and it made his personal list at 10.

Fair enough. I more or less agree with their list outside of omitting Firewatch and UC4.

Bad at the souls series, and haven't cared about what I've played of Ueda's games before, with TLG seemingly being especially dated when it comes to game design.

Falcom really is a master at worldbuilding, it's such a fleshed out world with an interesting history that's only gotten more and more impressive as the series has progressed. Going to a different section of the world in the Cold Steel games was fascinating, seeing what that area thought about previous events you played in the Sky games, their opinions on areas you've heavily explored in games past, how characters are portrayed, etc. They're building up an impressive, expansive narrative that, combined with the world and equally big and interesting cast of characters, has me completely hooked.

Judging from GOTY deliberations I really need to play Thumper and Darkest Dungeon. Both look like extremely my thing

The talk of Darkest Dungeon getting super difficult/grindy/long kind of turns me off because I don't know about how much of that game I'd be able to play even though it looks neat but Alex's constant raving of Thumper really sold me on it.

Just watching Thumper be played is a fucking experience.
