But honestly though, I would love to see how the Breaking Benjamin crowd would respond to mineral girls, at the same time, the possibilities are kinda terrifying.

I never really went through an alternative rock or nu metal phase. I went from pop, to classic punk cause I thought I was cool and rebel af, to the more ap.net centered stuff. I was a massive good charlotte fan tho lol and I still like some of their old singles. I remember getting furious at my grandpa cause he said their tattoos were only for attention and i'd get super heated when people made fun of them haha

Absolutely. Classic album. I honestly love every album. It'd be great if we got another some day.

No way man, Staind is awesome. Chapter V is one of their best.

Agreed, I think A Thousand Suns, Living Things and Hunting Party are better than their earlier work.

God I hope, I'm not sure though. I know they keep touring randomly but I thought Serj just wanted to record his solo stuff (which is pretty good too)

WHOA. Flashbacks. The funny thing is, I actually still think Welcome to the Masquerade is a stellar album even though nu-metal is near the bottom of my list of genres I enjoy.

I went through more phases than I listed but those were prob the longest/most prominent. I guess I shouldn't forget the Radiohead/music snob phase in high school even tho I still love them.

I enjoyed my phases! I still like most of the music I discovered and loved in those phases so I feel like it gave me more knowledge and appreciation of other genres and helped me expand on what I like. Even if I talk about the same 3 artists all the time now haha I swear I listen to more. So I guess they weren't a phase if that implies it was just for a small moment in time and then I abandoned it. More of a phase in that I'd be obsessed with certain artists in certain genres for a while but then kinda build on it.

I actually still listen to 90% of the stuff I listened to when I first got into music. Outside of like... Wavves, The Kooks and Phoenix which I pretty much outgrew

Edit: by that I mean I've added an enormous amount of artists since then, but I still listen to all the older ones I loved

I remember in highschool band like TBS, Yellowcard, Senses Fail, the Used, MCR, AFI, Sum 41 were all popular and I ignored them and listened to Alt Rock/Nu Metal like System, Korn, Chevelle, Staind, LP, POD ect.

Now I love bands like Senses Fail, TBS and Sum 41. I feel like their later albums are soooo much better which is a shame because I get the "oh, these bands are still around?" reaction.

Lacey is still incredible and no amount of changing musical tastes on my part will convince me otherwise.

I was into a lot of angsty hard rock stuff as a teen and Flyleaf (minus their latest album) and RED (minus the album they did with Howard Benson) are the only bands that have held up for me. RED's new album rules.
