Fairly certain this guy sampled Tom's voice with the new Adobe audio software to create new vocals... the technology is pretty creepy but anyone can do this.

If you go to his band's page, he tries to sound like Tom in their other songs but sounds like a poor cover band imitation. Pure hype move for his crappy band.

 

I think you quoted the wrong post. I was referring to A New Hope / Carrie Fisher.

You should hear that guy singing live into a mic without any mixing or effects. Best it sounds is vaguely like Tom.

I'm just realizing how ironic it is that the last word on Tom Delonge's demo collection is California.I mean he keeps saying the word over and over again What are the odds that it would be the title of the upcoming blink record without him. It's like he had a hunch! weird

Agreed - that's why I'm convinced that song is not him but a sampling of Tom's voice

 

Implications of this are scary...

 

Just wanted to say the fact that we'll be getting new blink again soon is very exciting. Blink has always made me so happy and listening to them always puts me in a good mood.

 

Yeah imagine a hologram David Bowie performing at a festival next year...singing a song written by other people with his "actual" voice.

Or a shit ton of "lost demos!" from artists popping up all over YouTube.

First thing I listened to when I heard the news.
I'm 25 and I was fairly young when the Self-Titled came out so it's not like I was into music when Dude Ranch came on to the scene, but when I was a kid discovering Blink's discography at the time, I would play Dude Ranch every morning on this shower cd player I had and those songs are super nostalgic to me, especially A New Hope!

 

I think nobody here thinks it is the real tom. Even in the descriptions to the actual video it is made clear it is not tom.

I could be looking into it too much, but it's weird that he says "I know two of the songs that are going on [the deluxe edition]"... Shouldn't he know all of them? haha or are they trying to narrow down which songs to include once again?

 

It sounds like this actual interview probably happened in late November or early December

 

That's what I assumed, but it was posted yesterday so I couldn't tell for sure.

Idea:
California deluxe is two discs. First disc has a sunny, day time scene on the front with the couple from the art work driving and is the original album. Disc two has a night time, darker setting with them and contains the 14 other songs. Would especially work if the bonus songs were darker in tone themselves. Like a day and night thing

 

Lets hope your actually just seeing the future and your right.
