    !!!!

Pinkerton goes under albums I don't care for, but the bands that were influenced from that album seem pretty cool.

That's very much how I feel for it. The opening track always hypes me up for an album that just isn't there for me. With that said, you can't deny the influence or its importance in the musical canon.

    hmmm

Blue and Pinkerton are both more or less equal. Matter of taste which one's the best. I go for Pinkerton.

Hostage Calm's 2010 self-titled record is an incredibly underrated and refreshing punk record. Shame they never quite hit those same highs on their two record after.

i actually think the first is pretty below the other two, and they just kept getting better

here's my unpopular opinion: i like her less than all the other bands in that scene she is friends with other than maybe porches. some good songs but just sooooo boring live the time i saw her

I saw Waxahatchee support Tegan and Sara a few years ago, and thought she/they were wonderful. Not too arsed on her latest album, but the two before that (especially Cerulean Salt) are lovely. The PS Eliot stuff is good fun too.

the thing i like most about a lot of these DIY bands is that full band they're so much more energetic. eskimeaux, lvl up, bellows, told slant, so great.

I hate Mutemath live. I think it may have been the mixing, though. It was painful to listen to (same goes for Kanye)

First time I heard of Nicole Dollanganger was live and the music got pretty heavy so I was surprised when I played her recorded stuff haha

i'm going to the code orange show just to see her, mostly, haha. she's super associated with the metal/hardcore scene in canada so it makes sense even if the music is so differnet
