Surely the album will be out late May/early June at the latest right? I was reading somewhere people were guessing it would be released in July after the four already announced shows. Still, a long time to wait for the album haha.

I actually kind of love it. I'm probably making a big deal out of nothing, but I think those guys being silent about the record is a breath of fresh air for this band. I think Mark especially has had to make a ton of false promises and address "new blink-182" for years and years now and couldn't live up to any of it because of Tom. Tom is much more about talking about things before he actually accomplishes them whereas Matt and Mark just want the damn thing to be done and released and THEN enjoy talking about it.

Travis has just gotten more and more into the process as years have gone by so it's not surprising to me that he's been so hands-on. I think he loves the production side of things and seemed really annoyed that Tom "didn't even listen to any of the mixes or masters" of Neighborhoods. Shows the discrepancy of how much each member really cared about the final product.

That's what that website said. But who knows? No one has officially announced ANYTHING about this other than "new music in April."

 

True. I think Top 40 would be really ambitious for a band in this genre these days, but if any band is big enough, it's them.

Yeah, I mean, FOB and Paramore are on Top 40, right? Paramore is more rock based than FOB is at this point, but still. Maybe Blink will pop out a pretty poppy album this time around. Who knows?

I'm not even mad they are still working on this. Take your time and finesse it to be an amazing piece. No need to throw it together in a hurry.

 

Agree with that big time. I don't think many great songs have come from hashing things together in a hurry.

 

It's been a while since I have purchased an album and sat down to listen to it for the first time front to back without any distractions. Looking forward to doing that with this one. I usually just put new releases on as background music until I start to really dive into them.

Really? Any interaction I have had with her has been great. Don't judge someone just from listening to them on the radio.

And Radio 1045 breaks a lot of new artists. I don't see how it's "hipster". But hey,your allowed to have your opinion. I just don't mind the station that much.

haha I know what you mean. Although, in all fairness, I would constitute April 26th as "soon."

 

Soon is the word Mark used most when Tom was being a douche. I fear that word.

I just recently spun this album in its entirety, it's pretty solid work. Combine this with some alk3, it should be great.

 

as someone pointed out in the article thread, that site now has the release date for the single as May 3rd

Hopefully it at least debuts before that or they give the fans a different new song that isn't the single. I can't wait another month.
