yes, I have - real good stuff

you might be interested in exploring Benoit Pioulard - depending on the album, you'll get a different experience ranging from folk pop with ambient soundscapes, to absolutle abstract pastoral drones

maybe somewhere in the middle you'll hit something similar in feel to that Riceboy Sleeps album

    and also, obviously, this:

is music for private ensemble in the same vein as public?

    well, it's interesting

both share a similar "sound space" but the process differed significantly (private (Sean solo) vs public (Sean + a lot of contributions) so they arrive to different conclusions

think of the albums as different sides of the same coin

I listened to For Those of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have) today after seeing it on Pitchfork's top 50 albums list. I've never listened to an ambient album before, but this is really great. Looks like I have some catching up to do with this genre, haha.

Helios' Eingya was a good entry into the genre for me. I'd also check out Stars of the Lid (probably Tired Sounds Of first, then And Their Refinement of the Decline)

really been enjoying this one as of late

wonderful playful symphonic ambient - light, almost happy sounding and very musical

If you're into Olafur Arnalds, you will will dig this - I know I do
