ive yet to hit 10 with any character and i need to play HoTs more because its such a well made MOBA.

i would argue that healing is less stressful than tanking, just because a lot of healers have some great AoE heals and there are some good mods to help managing and prioritizing targets. With tanking, youve got to be A+ on every mechanic and every swap and everything that could happen given an encounter. its a good way to learn mechanics though, albeit unforgiving and people can be especially cruel to the tanks.

 

oh and yeah all the Druids specs are doing pretty well right now as far as raid encounters and mythic progression goes

i play a holy priest so if you have any specific questions please let me know, happy to help and get more people into healing! playing non-DPS is definitely stressful at first, but once you figure out what you're doing it becomes second nature. when i first started i definitely ran with groups of friends instead of queueing with randoms for fear of messing up the group.

i would say tanking is a little more difficult than healing because you're basically expected to be the captain of the instance. you need to know the mechanics to all of the fights, you control how quickly or slowly you go through the instance, etc. whereas with healing, half the time i'm just looking at health bars rather than what's going on around me (obviously if you're fighting a boss you need to be aware of mechanics too).

you should be okay switching between specs using the same primary stat, yeah.

 

Downloading Hearthstone now, gonna give it a shot. Gonna look up some beginner guide and such to help me out.

Yeah the issue I'm now having with tanking is that people want me to lead through the instance and I don't know the routes and mechanics for a lot of them.

Basically with my holy priest I was doing fine for a while, then once I hit level 40ish I kept getting put with tanks that wanted to speed run every instance and dps teams that were pulling and getting aggro for themselves and I couldn't keep up. I basically was spamming the two quick heals on the tank and then using a group heal when the team was taking damage. Tried explaining that I was inexperienced but got kicked.

I enjoy dps but am tired of the 20-30 minute dungeon queues.

 

ah yeah, unfortunately if you're running dungeons at that level, you're likely getting grouped with alts who just want to fly through the instances as quickly as possible because they're trying to power-level. maybe it's counterintuitive but things tend to be much better at max level, because that's where the majority of players tend to be, especially with the level boosts that come with each expansion now. honestly i'd say you're doing nothing wrong, it's just a bit of a steep learning curve at first. what i personally do is stick with DPS while leveling, and then switch to healing to run max-level instances. i don't know if that's something you're interested in doing though.

 

Tried Varian in HOTS and I really like him. Definitely want to buy him when I can.

I'm glad we finally have a Troll character.

People on the forums are upset that its another Warcraft character, but Warcraft has the largest roster and deepest mythology of the 3 big Blizzard universes so I get why theres more Warcraft characters.

 

Finally able to play Varian now that he's free. Lots of fun. Went undefeated all the way to level 6 until I got matched with some bone heads.

Also excited for Zuljin. ^^ and yeah lots of Warcraft characters but the fact is there's still so many hugely iconic warcraft characters that aren't even in the game yet so people should probably just get used to it.

 

yeah i mean, most of the faction leaders and such havent even been added yet. Theres just a lot of warcraft characters that are all varying degrees of interesting and could translate well into a MOBA hero. Hellscream, Saurfang, Voljin, Mekkatorque, Xavious, Yrel (id love some Dranei), Deathwing, Al'akir, Neptulone, Nesingwary, Hodger, Freya, Millhouse Manastorm, Khadgar, Vanessa VanCleef, Azshara, Cairne Bloodhoof, Maeiv Shadowsong, and so so many more.

Meanwhile, aside from the Diablo classes (which they could still add the rogue and druid and the classic ones) theres really not too much to work with there. Malthael and some of the angels would be cool
Starcraft has some Protoss and Terran characters that are pretty cool.

Theres also other classic oldschool Blizz games they could pool from, but thats unlikely. Warcraft just has a massive roster to choose from, so theyre bound to pick from them.

 

btw the new Muradin skin is my new favorite skin in the game

 

Maybe they'll start adding in overwatch characters lol that'd be fun
