its all about being possessive and shit, to me it is very clearly contextualized as a redefined perspective on her relationship with jay following the infidelities

The best EPs of the year are serpentwithfeet - Blisters and Charli XCX - Vroom Vroom

My list is just full of creatively bankrupt indie rock and I totally hate pop music yup

Maybe some people just don't like lemonade that much. Shocker

You seem to have tendency to think that every statement that I make that could be about a lot of people is specificaly about you. I did not address you directly, I do not remember your list. Generalizations can be true even if some individual people have different reasons. Whether or not you think a general statement applies to you is up to you to decide. There is definitly "indie rock" bias among a certain crowd (to which Chorus somewhat belongs) that leads to questionable perceptions and interpretations of other genres.

    No shots.

I just think a generalization based on one album not making lists is beyond absurd. And since it's not on my list I fall in that generalization. The indie rock bias isn't that bad, not compared to the past

I think it's the most transcendent piece of music I've heard this year, maybe even this decade.

Lemonade is just the biggest one of a group of somewhat similar albums that aren't widely listed in here

I think I've seen anti more than lemonade tbh. What other pop albums came out that were great? Dangerous woman was whatever outside of the singles. CRJ was just an EP of bsides. What other a listers put out top shelf pop albums?

Lemonade is #1 on my list because I like those songs grouped together on a record more than a lot of other songs grouped together on a record this year.

I know it definitely wasn't the style of r&b I was expecting, so that might be part of it. I'll def try it again and see if it sticks more

That Oathbreaker record is the first one I've liked of the genre.

I also kept typing in Oathkeeper when searching for them because Oathkeeper is a key blade.

@sophos34 Lemonade is not just a random Pop album. Lemonade, Seat At The Table, Tribe Album (and more) in my mind are all similar in that they are "critically acclaimed" (code for good) and big (code for people mighis have heard them) albums that are, among other things, about the black experience. Like I said, this doesn't apply to you, you have YG on your list so we're cool.

The tribe album is on a ton of lists I've seen here, I mean I haven't read every list but it seems to be represented rather well for a hip hop album

And if we're talking about black albums I'd say the problem has less to do with people liking indie rock and more to do with most people on this website being white

The problem w/ lists is the lack of Jeffery. Both Rosenstock and Thug
