The Grand Illusion was probably my most played album along side Boston's S/T in the 7th grade

 

Oh man I loved that Boston album in 7th grade too lol.

 

Styx is cool except I can't stand Come Sail Away since it was my high school graduation song and I hated high school so I always associate it with that. Also, was weird as hell having that as a graduation song in 2012.

I could never tell if styx was being ironic or not

 

Boston's self titled may be one of the best albums there is. I can't think of another album that every single song is a radio single.

Cartman singing Come Sail Away is the way to go.

AC/DC is classic. They just need a better drummer.

 

It's a bummer cause there are a lot of great reasons why one's butt may hurt like spicy food or landing on your tailbone hard but with butthurt it's pretty much exclusively used with homophobic and rape culture trappings

Tbph I treat Ryan Lewis and Ryan Adams as the same person because I'm stupid and confuse them a lot and also don't care about either of their music

it's amazing how many common insults are just laced with it! most of them are all very sexual but treat it like a negative thing which is just very weird and rapey.

Like what's with guys saying "suck my dick!" as an insult? don't you like that when it happens? i don't get it

 

I think the idea is its an "emasculating" sexual act and the idea of domination/control

i hope to like this new girlpool record since it's full band but we will see

 

i kinda dislike them more than i should b/c they exemplify everything about the los angeles music scene that i hate (cliques of mediocre indie bands w/ white folks). they're not even based here anymore though, it's whatever

 

My girlfriend loves girlpool and I just try to shut up about not liking them, since I'm not trying to dissuade her from liking female artists but couldn't she have fallen in love with Eskimeaux or Frankie Cosmos or Mitski Or Julien Baker instead?

 

pretty sure every city has mediocre white bands gatekeeping the DIY scene haha
