definitely makes complete sense. most of my gaming purchases tend to be the flash sales on psn. very particular with what I will spend full price for. I never owned all the games so for me it was a bargain deal basically.

 

Really really surprised by this. Like they JUST reviewed it, and I haven't heard them talk a lot about the game. Granted they've been doing all the PSX coverage. I thought Uncharted or Overwatch would have been their pick.

 

I can only speak on Dishonored - the story of the sequel is pretty much separate from the first game, I can't think of anything that's super relevant from the first outside of Corvo/Emily (duh) and a returning characters or two. The two story DLCs (Knife of Dunwall/Brigmore Witches) are more relevant. If you don't have the DLCs you're not going to be lost or anything in the story, but they add an interesting layer to some major elements of Dishonored 2.

 

For anyone that may have missed them.

I'd say Dishonored is slightly more connected to the first one, but the others are very standalone

 

If you watch the full three hour video where they do all their picks it seems like almost everyone had it as their number 1 or 2.

Yeah I haven't watched the vid yet. I like to watch everything on their feed in order. I'm only on the most recent Easy Update.

 

Interesting. My favorite part of GB's GOTY list is that the top spots individually can be all over the place.


Though I'd be surprised if DOOM isnt in everyone's 1 or 2 slot

 

I really only care about what Giant Bomb (and I guess also Waypoint, partly because of the Giant Bomb pedigree and because Danielle has always been cool) thinks about a game, including end of the year lists

 

I only care about Easy Allies, ha.

Also I just finished The Last Guardian and I'm sorry Dark Souls 3 but I have a new GOTY. What a fucking game. Worth all those years of waiting. I hope Fumito Ueda just keeps making games forever. I can't say enough good things about the worlds and stories he creates.

 

I'm learning that Cold World is basically my pump up music in smite because I have been dominating today.

 

Beat The Last Guardian last night, it was pretty cool. Could be pretty frustrating at times though.

 

Yeah as much as I loved it I got super frustrated at the controls at times.

 

I just 100% all the health shrines in sleeping dogs so now it's ok to the loot boxes and cameras.

sigh at all the collectibles but at least I'm 50% through all collectibles.

 

Yeah, beat it and traded it in last night. No way I'll replay it with how frustrating the controls and camera can be.

 

I don't replay any Team Ico games. They're a one time experience for me.

 

I used to love playing Star Wars games. Is Battlefront for PS4 worth checking out? Is there a single player campaign? I keep seeing a bunch of negative reviews but it's tough wading through the bullshit. There's definitely a reason why it's only $10 on Amazon, right?

 

there's no story campaign - I really enjoyed the multiplayer, but the shine of it being awesome star wars action for me felt apart pretty quickly. after like 2 weeks I never found myself going back to it. I found it to be very much a disappointment.

 

they're making a battlefront 2 right? im just waiting for that
