My godmother gave me $13 for my 16th birthday. Never gonna let her live that down.

 

I have recently been thinking about this in regards to when people say they miss when kids could just play in the street. I live on a narrow street that kids play in and it's annoying af. I'm always waiting for the day some kid rides his bike out in front of my car. Idk why anyone reminisces about that.

 

My girlfriend is coming home today, and I am so excited to see her, but I know it's going to be a tough day because her cat (who was extremely sick before she left) had to be put down yesterday, while she was hundreds of miles away.

 

I'm a godfather to my friend's daughter and all I've done so far is contribute to her college and hang out with her a lot. And if her parents die she legally goes to me instead of her grandparents but that will never happen cuz there's no way they die before me.

 

I want separate conjoined houses like Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter, I move around a lot in my sleep and yeah I wouldn't want to subject anyone to that

 

does anyone here have a subscription to Scientific American? I need access to a paid article for a presentation I'm working on and don't wanna pay just for one :(

 

Ha! I was one of those kids. No parental supervision growing up.

 

I don't, but you could probably try reddit. I'm sure someone over there could hook you up.

 

I was under the impression that unless they died I wouldn't really have to do much as a godparent. I'm sure a set of their parents would probably actually get the kid if they died. I dunno.

 

I just like sleeping next to my SO. That includes naps too.

 

I did too. I def got hit by a car tho lol. I did that annoying kid thing kids do when they just dart into the street outta nowhere. It was dumb.

 

We went through a legal process to make that happen so I don't think it's instantly set up that way

I'm not dating anyone now and I'm not sure if I want to, but I'm interested in two people right now, both of whom are Christian. I'm atheist or maybe borderline agnostic (not necessarily the Christian God) and while I don't think either of them cares I wonder if their parents do.

About that, I think both of them are in the same position as me in terms of not wanting a relationship at this very moment, but I feel that gradually changing for me as I'm graduating this May. I've liked one longer but I might like the other more and the thought of maybe having to choose between them to ask out first at some point stresses me out.

 

I was judging the dude behind me in line at the grocery store for only buying bacon and energy drinks, but then I realized that all I got was doritos and coffee so we are pretty much equal.

 

You just reminded me I need to pick up turkey bacon after work.

Lol. Well I didn't do that. As a kid I made sure to look before I cross and me and my friends were pretty good at looking out for cars. But pretty sure you and I grew up in very different places with different streets.

My friend did get hit by a yellow cab taxi tho.

 

I yearned after a relationship with a Christian girl for a very long time. I'm agnostic and to her that mattered. Weird thing is, I don't think that would have mattered to her parents in the slightest. Best of luck man. I hope one of those work out for you. Even if you don't believe in the same higher power, having that balance can make for a good relationship if there is a mutual respect for one another's beliefs.
