If I'm still single and in my mid 30s I may want to adopt.

 

I'm constantly 5-10 minutes late for work lately. I just can't get up before last minute

 

This has been me all week. I'm usually better but it just isn't happening currently.

 

My husband I definitely want kids, but my only real hesitation is that we both work. Childcare isn't terribly expensive in New Hampshire (at least not compared to Boston) and while we both do pretty well financially, to become a one-income household would be a little tight even before additional kid-related expenses. We also just got married in August, so even though I'm not getting any younger, I want a couple of years to be DINKs and not have additional smol people to raise.

 

I want kids but not any time soon.

 

My wife and I have been together for 6 years, married for one year. She had to go to India for work for like 10 days. I couldn't sleep with the whole bed to myself. It was so weird.

 

My wife and I are about to start trying to get pregnant. She bought me this sperm counter test from the drug store. It occurred to me that when I tell her what my results are, she is going to know that I just masturbated, which is sort of weird.

Another thing that occurred to me is when her parents are like "when are you guys going to give us grandchildren" they are basically tell us "fuck more!!", which is also weird.

One exam down, now I'm gonna give myself a little bit of time to decompress until I start studying for the next one.

I'm undecided on kids and marriage and life.

 

One of my best friends is married AND has 6 cats because screw cat lady stereotypes. Thankfully both she and her husband love cats equally.

 

I want a cat, but I'm not sure my roommate does.

 

Did you ever warm up to that recent EP of hers? I remember being curious 'cause I liked her last album but not listening 'cause the AP.net didn't like it, seemingly unanimously.

 

I have two cats and I'm willing to give you both of them for the small price of oh my god get them out of my house.

 

I have come around to it quite a bit. Took some warming up to. I find myself singing it all of the time now.

On a plane to DC, and then up to Boston. Had a great sunny five days in Miami, and now back to the cold.

You're a great dad and you're not a failure, don't ever let anyone make you feel otherwise.

 

I read somewhere on the interwebz that basically cats are constantly trying to suss out the best way to attack and kill you.

 

This is basically where I'm at right now too. Definitely want to wait a couple more years before life gets really complicated.

 

Been married for 2 1/2 years. I think we want to wait another year or two before we start trying to have kids. We are used to sleeping apart because I'm usually in a hotel 10-15 nights per months.

 

Yeah, I just think I'm still too selfish at this point. I like my free time too much.

 

Thanks so much, that really means a lot. I feel like I've taken a lot of mental and emotional hits during this whole experience, and while things are mostly better I feel like I haven't gotten closure from it all and that aspect sucks.

Off topic but related to your classic Sonic avi, at work yesterday I had the random revelation that Dr Robotnik is an analogy for humanity destroying the wildlife around it and replacing it with machines and it made me sad.

 

My brother got married at 28 and is 32 now still with no kids. So him and his wife do a lot of traveling.

If I get married I'd like to hold off on kids and focus on the marriage first.
