I don't think people have been bashing games. Saying a game is bad is not bashing, unless you do it multiple times etc

 

Agreed. And I wouldn't have commented on the video if I didn't watch it, but I had a feeling it would just be a bunch of nonsense jokes and some form of superiority, and I was right. It's literally awful. Not only that, but I've noticed a trend of the negative Watch_Dogs 2 reviews literally have factually incorrect information. So people aren't even paying attention to it.

How's this for bashing...Death Stranding so far makes absolutely no god damn sense to me, and I do not understand being hyped about a game that essentially showed no gameplay. I also think the celebrity cameo's in the trailers were a big selling point on getting people excited, and that's all they were.

 

People really like Kojima.

 

Didn't know Zero Punctuation was even still around. Never been a fan.

 

*choochoo* All aboard the hype train for NieR Automata because this game needs more attention and looks incredible -- definitely my most anticipated right now.

The game is still super early in development. At the time of the first teaser, that was literally the only thing they had developed. This game is at least 1.5-2 years out.

 

I just want more weird kojima projects which is what death stranding seems to be.

Seriously? That's pretty crazy I did not know that. I just see a lot of talk and excitement about it, but I have watched the two trailers more than once and read Kojima's description, and I just don't get it/feel interested sadly.

 

It's Kojima. The teasers have been fine but I'm always going to be incredibly excited to see what that man thinks of next, I don't need to see gameplay to know that I'm going to want to play the game whatever it is.

 

Yeah, Kojima was fresh out of his falling out and basically ran away with the two people that were integral to Silent Hills and came up with a short. He has huge plans for it, but I'm not sure how much direction it has just yet. I'm excited about the cast, Kojima, and GDT so far. I've loved most of the MGS series and Zone of Enders. That's all I need to get excited.

From the sounds of it, he is developing a new engine that he says "is a rocket that will take him to Jupiter"

I've only briefly played the MGS series. Was a lot of fun, and I liked the story, but I mean really the trailers make absolutely no sense and I feel that if it wasn't Kojima, people would just be like wth am I watching?

 

It's Kojima unrestricted by Konami's bullshit. The more batshit crazy stuff the better imo. It's not supposed to make sense right now, but for me at least it raises questions I want the answers too.

 

I wonder if he's using/lifting any production/ideas he made on Silent Hills for that game aside from Norman Reedus.

That is purely because you've only "briefly played his games" and you're ignorant about what he's done with the medium

I also think the trailers are fantastically made and I'd be excited if it was an unknown story but with it being Kojima I'm just more confident in the game actually being good.

 

I want more trailers to make me feel like "wth am I watching?" Instead of "oh another game like this eh?".

 

I definitely do not knock Kojima's abilities, the MGS games which i've played 3 of were all fun and in depth stories. I just think that for what was shown, if Kojima wasn't the one behind the scenes and there weren't celebrities as the protagonist/antagonist, those trailers would provide zero hype and would come across as a jumbled mess. I truly can't catch the concept he's going for. But I won't say that if the game comes out and people praise I won't pick it up. There's just so much hype and talk about it and I am not on the same page I guess haha.

I've watched his videos on and off since I was a teenager, and I occasionally find him funny. I haven't disregarded anything you've said. It's not a serious review at all, he takes the piss and is overly harsh on every game he "reviews".

I didn't realise I would get accused of bashing a game just because I posted a stupid video. People constantly shit on things I love all the time on this site, but I don't take it personally. Well, unless they're rude and condescending in putting across their negative views, which I haven't been here. I'll just stay out of this thread from now on to avoid this happening again.

 

From the trailers I see promise of an extremely unique narrative and world. With photo realistic graphics and inventive art direction. People get hyped over stuff like that. Wtfness is also an alluring quality
