The beauty is that I cook none of it. He says the owner can be a real jerk about critiquing his specials, and I don't think the owner has the best taste, but hopefully it all gets approved.

 

Restaurant owners are maniacs. But you pretty much have to be a maniac to run a successful restaurant.

 

True. I'm utterly insane and I'd like to own a restaurant. Or 5.

Plus restaurant owners have weird schedules

 

If you're the owner, you can have whatever schedule you want.

 

I have seen enough Kitchen Nightmares to never ever ever ever and I mean fucking ever want to own a restaurant

 

maybe it's the manager I'm thinking of who's up until like 2 am or someone in the kitchen

 

I think it would be stressful to own a successful restaurant and I think it would be even more stressful to own a failing restaurant. neither one sounds very good to me tho

Eh sounds right in theory. But that's how you run a shitty restaurant lol. Unless we are talking after years of hard work and getting solid accountable people under you that you can trust.

 

You can set your own hours is what I'm saying. You don't need to be there while the staff is cleaning etc.

 

I'd like to own a restaurant, but only so I could eat all the food. It'd probably go out of business pretty quick.

 

I think it's the access to ingredients I wouldn't normally keep around the house that is the most appealing part of owning a restaurant.
