Here's how I see this night: Ronnie's set will be 6-7 songs closing with Face Down. Hawthorne Heights will play an acoustic best of from most of their first 2 albums and Secondhand will do the album followed by Your Call, Something More and then close it out with Fall For You. I wouldn't be surprised if 50 people left after HH.

would 50 people even show up for a non-anniversary HH show?

For people to hear Face Down, Ohio is for Lovers and Fall for You in one show, I'm sure they can muster up at least 50 people.

I love Hawthorne Heights, but never have any interest in seeing them acoustic. I never miss a full band tour when it comes through, though.

I'm not sure if HH said anything about doing things acoustic. I just assumed they would given the people they're touring with. Kinda odd to go from screaming to Secondhand lol

HH's Facebook post from earlier referred to it as an "acoustic tour" so good call anyway lol

Yuck. The closest date to me is at Gamechanger World. I think I'll pass on this one.

After not getting any tours this year outside of ABR within 7 hours of me.... I got both After the Burial and Attila today. 2017 has been redeemed!

ATB is already the best tour of 2017

  10. bstadtfeld

    but does it djent?

None of the tours announced today I'll be able to go to (I think). I may be able to get to that Whitechapel/Cattle/Goatwhore show but might have to travel to Cleveland since the Indy date is a Wednesday. 4 hours of travel is a lot though for just a club show. I'm really pulling for the Carnifex tour tomorrow.

ATB/Emmure, Attila, and Whitechapel/CD aren't even touching the NW. Sigh... I may as well go back to bed and hope for the best with Carnifex tomorrow. Also I'm sure that Whitchapel tour won't be awkward AT ALL with the diss merch that Cattle has made towards Whitechapel.

the Reading, PA date of that Devildriver/Death Angel/The Agonist tour doesn't have Winds Of Plague, but Hed PE and Motograter instead. Not sure what the deal with that is, but I sure hope WOP are doing an off date in the area. I haven't seen them in years.

The only Attila fans I know in real life are mid 30s holdovers from the Nu Metal glory days of the late 90s/early 00s who pretty much love all of this Rap/Nu Metal styled Metalcore that's big currently.

I think it's a valid question with how shitty of people they are, even disregarding the terrible quality of their music.

yeah basically this, how does someone support bands with disgusting hateful world views?

and how does someone defend someone who thinks those views are fine to be supported?

It feels like I mostly run across this in the tour discussion forum, other areas on chorus aren't nearly as bad as this. It's really unfortunate

yup, this part of the board is a whole other planet. makes sense, though, based on some preferences around here...

Attila's music is awful, but I listen to plenty of artists who've said or done questionable things. If other people want to judge me for it, that's fine and all. I won't try to stop them or anything. But I certainly won't shun myself from a scene or venue or anything just because some people dislike me. That's a ludicrous concept.

That's my input on this. Attila sucks and Fronz sucks, but there's bigger issues at hand here.
