I think the only 2016 games I've played are Overwatch and Legion, #1 is probably Overwatch if I had to pick.

 

I'm no Hitman aficionado but I really enjoyed the episodes with a specific few of them giving great satisfaction when I completed them in an efficient manner, probably one of the easiest games to get to grips with gameplay wise.

 

My top 5:

1. DOOM
2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
3. Dead Rising 4
4. Final Fantasy XV
5. Hitman

 

I wanna get hitman and ffxv :(

Also for me watch dogs 2 is def #1, closely followed by overwatch
I also enjoyed the division, far cry primal, firewatch, and hearthstone's one night in karazhan adventure

Mirror's edge catalyst and quantum break were fun, but no where near as good as the rest I mentioned. I keep forgetting they existed lol

 

I still need to finish FFXV and The Last Guardian as well as play Pokemon Moon but I doubt anything will top Dark Souls 3 for me honestly.

 

Speaking of FFXV

Chapter 13 is where it went all down hill for me...

LP5 is just referencing the likely reality that Brand New will never release another album. @Dirty Sanchez and a good few other people in this thread know that my love and bitterness for Brand New knows no bounds and crosses topic, genre, and entertainment medium.

 

I need a completely badass story to want to play the gameplay of Final Fantasy type games.

I heard XVs story isnt amazing so I'm not eager to pick it up despite being initially interested

Plenty of solid titles out there this year, but only these three really hit me.

 

I loved the story of FFXV, the character development of the main 4 was excellent and was very attached the whole way through. It felt a little rushed at the end, but overall it was a great story

 

XV's story is awful imo. Slapdash at the best of times. It's somewhat redeemed by the thought of the whole story being told from Noctis' pov but you don't know enough about the world for that to be effective.

Gameplay makes up for it though.

*Didn't really get to play many indies this year, or really many games in general. Even of these top ten I have, I haven't finished all of them as of now. It's been tough but gaming has kind of been the thing I've started giving time up on more and more as school has ended and real life has begun for me.

I never liked Ratchet & Clank when I was younger sadly. The other two games I have heard good things about though.

This was a good laugh no doubt. But the graphics on that....dog, look ps3 worthy. Is the animation of his feathers/fur a bit more fluid on the PS4?
