I was in Philly yesterday, visiting girlfriend's family in PA. I love Boston too much but I could see myself living here too

Nice. Yeah that area right near Drexel and Penn is nice. Can get a little rough once you venture far out of it though. That's Philly for ya though

That's fine. I live in Fishtown anyway and hardly leave my neighborhood, so you're probably safe.

EDIT: Oh, also I don't rob people's houses. Probably should have led with that.

In the process of buying a house. Looking primarily in East Falls, but generally all over and in a few of the suburbs around the Northeast

We bought our home almost two years ago. It was a nerve wracking situation, but ultimately it feels so good to know that the money I'm paying each month goes to something.

I like the East Falls area. When I first moved back to Philly I almost went there, but ended up in Fishtown. The thing about East Falls/Manayunk/Roxborough that bothers me is the (relatively) difficult nature of getting out there or into Center City. They have some gorgeous homes, though. Good luck to you!

    Thanks, man!
I know, depending on where you're situated it could be a pain in the ass to get around. A few of the houses that we're looking at are relatively close to the boulevard entrance, which could get me to work in like 20 minutes since I leave early enough. There's the train in walking distance if we were traveling into the city. The pain in the ass is getting to like Fishtown/Northern Liberties. We've gone from our friend's in EF to Girard Ave a few times and it seems like it takes forever. No real easy way to go.

That's exactly why I have only been out there a handful of times, haha. One thing I wish Philly could do as well as NYC is have a transit system like it. You have to take like 4 different trains/trolleys to get from one to the other. So annoying.

  23. A lot of cities of crap public transportation. Philly isn't great but PIttsburgh is 100x worse.

I live in SJ, and taking the Patco to the market frankford line to get to fishtown is really convenient
