Most of my first dates have been dinner or drinks or a concert and have been less than ideal

The last first date I had was the State Fair and it was the best first date ever

Adventure is good, you get to discover a lot about each other quickly

 

Her birthday is the first week in March, so it could be worse. But now I have no clue what to do for Christmas.

 

If you guys are already feeling each other, picnics are the best.

 

I've never gone on a real date to get to know someone, so I have that to dread in the future haha. Every relationship I've really been in has been us hanging out around mutual friends, then talking, and eventually starting a relationship. I've only really been in two long term relationships though, so I dunno. I'm just stressed at the idea of dates

 

Sometimes I panic cause in shows and movies they have dates all nice in nice places in nice clothes and I'm like omg why are characters always randomly prepared for that?? I would be screwed with nothing to wear.

 

I wouldn't want to go on a date at a fancy place where I was required to dress up. I don't care about that stuff and it'll probably make me feel uncomfortable

To be fair they are always dressed well except for when they're sick, then it's sweatpants and tissues everywhere

 

I remember going to the movies with my current girlfriend our first few dates. We were just friends for like the first 6 months but she knew I had clear interest in her (I respected her wishes to just be friends at first) but we would go to the movies and right before the movie would start, coca-cola would play this commercial about couples being at their first movie and showing the guy making all the cliche moves on the girl at certain times. That was a little awkward. Then there was this other one they would play about this old couple looking back at their first date which was at the movies and they talk about how nervous they were blah blah blah and that they fell in love almost instantly, you get it. Idk if i'm articulating this great but it would be so awkward watching that stuff with her sitting right next to me hahaha.

 

I'd probably go get Thai or somethin.

As for dressing well, in college when I had a crush on my now ex, when we had class on Tuesdays and Thursdays I would always dress nicely. When she happened see me on other days that we didn't have class I'd always just be in jeans and a hoodie. Eventually she put two and two together.

 

I always choose to wear my favorite shirts when I know I'm gonna see my girlfriend and as a result this is likely her view of me

So I wake and baked with my girl today and randomly compared her pussy and how the thought of it is always following me in the back of my mind like Aku Aku follows Crash Bandicoot.

She's been on and off laughing/busting my chops since.

 

Fancy places are great. Little holes in the wall are great. Life's about variety.

 

Gonna have to just put yourself out there. Why agonize over what can be resolved? Even if it doesn't go your way at least now you know and can focus on moving on rather than agonizing in thought over it.

Things that are worth it are almost never easy. Glad we/I could help, you'll be fine man this shit is difficult for a reason, but that's life man... gotta live it or it'll live you.

My friend is kinda asking me to help him navigate making things right with his girl, which I'm glad to help him since I can see his sincerity and know she's good for him. We have a lot of the same issues in life, burdens, feelings, insecurities so that's like my lil bro, however... I will say I am starting to feel like I'm ghostwriting it a bit though, cus I'm here step by step and considering she's my friend too I'm still getting slightly nervous if I help him too much it may not stick.
I trust his sincerity but I do find myself trying to balance "Lead him in the direction not down the path."

He makes music, I told him to make a song for her, that's all him so hopefully that will be the turn and he can see he doesn't really need to worry so much. Yesterday I was watching the Friends ep where they have a new years party in their apt and Monica was wearing like a legit fancy evening gown and I was like wut wearing a fancy dress in your apt? does not compute. but maybe cause I don't think of my house as a fancy place to wear fancy dresses. people tell me I overdress but not to that extent imo!

 

flannel + dad hat is my extent for dressing nice.
