the first song I heard from tyga happened to be off the FOB mixtape.

 

v excited for the Gucci wedding mixtape.

 

This used to play at the FYE I worked at when I was 18 lol

 

Rack City and Make It Nasty were huge when I was a sophomore and I hated those songs so much. They're also very interchangeable lol

 

Im surprised Jeffery isn't being mentioned as much as I thought

Out this month.

 

Quite possibly my favorite release of the year. And this is a year that 3 of my top five all time favorite artists released music.

 

I listened to it twice I think. I see why people like it.

 

Pete Rock and Smoke DZA released an album a few days ago.

Also Cam'ron is on there.

 

Need to check that out. Used to fuck with DZA during the George Kush Da Button days, but haven't followed him at all in 5 years probably.

 

Yeah I don't really listen to a lot of DZA but this combination made me listen. The album is okay, some really great tracks and some filler.

 

I'm listening to the newest Mustard album for the first time (the one before that wasn't great imo) and there are some great tracks on there. It's not much of an "album", but it's a fun playlist.

Someone posted in the thugger thread that he had the best output of 2016. I might agree tbh-- at least in this genre

 

My mind slipped when I was making my list and was too lazy to go back and put jefferey in the tank so whateva lists are useless

 

I saw that it wasn't there on the tweeter and almost asked you about it but ultimately just figured you forgot

 

Agree that Thugger had the best output on the year. Jefferey is the best vocal performance I've heard in a long time.

As far as 2 Chainz goes, I don't know if I've heard a full mixtape from him, but this song is one of my favorites of the year...

 

If output refers to more than one release, I'd say YG's output is hard to beat

 

YG had a great year... Gucci too... Quavo features...

 

Not sure it has come up in this thread, but DJ Quik dropped an EP this year and it's really good, it really shows why he's one of the greatest (and maybe the most underrated) producers of all time
