A friend insisted I read her and this guy she's been flirting with's texts and omg it was the worst. Both of them talking in circles asking the other if they're interested or flirting over and over and acting like they're being coy or something but it's like... clearly ur both into this and it's super obvious so why are you doing the back and forth???


Also my bff is breaking up with her bf and now she's talking to me a lot again and it bums me out that she talks to me the most when she's single. booooo ppl who get so absorbed in relationships that they blow off friends!!

 

If I ever have a gf again I'm dreading that they'll get jealous that my best friend is a girl whom I drink and talk to v frequently even though we've only ever been friends

 

I'm at the point where I don't really see anyone wanting to be in a relationship with me for probably a long time

 

I feel the same way. It's rare to have a guy show interest in me. I'm just not someone guys take interest in.

I'm at a point where I'm just focusing on what to do to keep me out of trouble and happy. I'm going to be going back to school to try to be a doctor, and the looming idea that I'm going to potentially be moving around for a while is destroying my motivation to try to meet the girls I want to talk to.

Also, stuck in a rut where I have no outlet to meet girls, and my friends are more insular so there's no outlet through them either. It's fine, just want someone to chill, listen to music and do goofy things with. It'll happen long term though so I'm not thinking about it too much, just appreciating my situation now as it is.

 

Single again. I wanted to leave Florida and she was positive that she'd never want to. Difficult but we've known where it'd end for months. Time for the indefinite period of existential dread and insecurity!

 

Things like this that have me keep people at a distance. Been about 2 years of single and dating. I never go for the long-term anymore because I keep moving around. No point in growing roots if they always get pulled out.

 

My girlfriend and I both love Boston too much to ever go anywhere else. So that's a plus.

 

I've been the fifth wheel with my friend group lately, and it bums me out. My best friend got really close to the other guy that we hang out with because I kind of disappeared and didn't hang out much with everyone for a little bit, but it still sucks to see that he's closer to our other friend now. I just feel left out.

 

i have the opposite. I think because I'm introverted and don't get close to many people I try hard to make a relationship happen so I can have a strong connection with someone

 

I fuckin would too, damn haha. I'm pretty good with staying in Charlotte for several years though.

Once I'm back to Seattle I'm never leaving. Will still be single once I'm there though because being single is the best.
