lana's in a weird space where she sells really well first week but i dont think she's had any like...actual hits?

Honeymoon was 100k first week. Impressive of course, but I'd argue those aren't superstar numbers

    The Real Azor Ahai

Die For You needs to be on there too IMO even though I'd rather it stay as the 18 track original

I can't imagine the tracklist being any different. 10 tracks would've sucked compared to what we got

She never really did anything for me. Blue Jeans is good

I do think that the diversity of her style on Born To Die was something that showed promise, but Ultraviolence and Honeymoon were so incredibly one-note and she seemed to turn her back on caring about anything other than one specific sound that gets stale after two hour long albums of the same song

She gets way better every album

Few things I'd disagree more with, Honeymoon is one of the most tedious albums I've ever listened through

Lana Del Ray might have reached mainstream awareness (mostly because of that "Summertime Sadness" remix), but to my awareness you can't really call it mainstream success.

That said, she's got like three rows of the most dedicated fans ever at most festivals she plays.

I like the back half of this album a lot, but "Nothing Without You" and "Die For You" are like the same exact song.

I'm a decent fan of Lana, especially Ultraviolence. Honeymoon was great too.

    The Real Azor Ahai

I still can't get over the fact that Die For You wasn't done until a week before the album came out

Also still can't believe that Enemy and KOTF never found their way to any albums

Pitchfork calls this album a compilation and prefers BBTM which basically is a compilation.

This is very very good, it feels long to me right now but I blame that on only having listened twice and still getting to know the songs. At no point does it ever feel stale, however. This is my first record from him, where do people recommend going next?

While you're at it, I recommend listening to each tape on their own rather than one continuous listen.

I think my opinion is now that BBTM has better highlights than this one does but this is a better overall album
