To make it worse, if anybody's not aware and addicted to Justice Monsters V, you can also download a mobile version so you can play it wherever you go. It's been out for a few months and thankfully I got my fill so I haven't been that distracted by it in the game.

 

I read a review that said a lot of the dungeons are tucked away or unlock at the end of the game. Is the first one at least easy to find?

 

The first dungeon is part of the main quest line

 

is this team based or just the main character?

 

A bit both, you control the main character but have different abilities you can have your teammates use

Kinda Kingdom Hearts-ish except your teammates aren't completely dumb

 

You only control the main character, outside of initiating special attacks, but you're always roaming around in the party of four you start the game with.

 

The AI for the party members has been pretty solid so far.

 

Got mine yesterday after all. Started it. Love the vibe right away. Reminds me of FF8 for some reason.

I never really paid much attention to them. I would just kill the boss while they're both off playing with butterflies or something.

 

One thing that I have noticed in my limited play time is that the battle system is a big adjustment. Not once have I paid attention or noticed where my HP is at during a battle. Not good haha.

 

I've played maybe four hours today and have not touched the main quest. It's Witcher 3 all over again.

 

That is the problem I always have with open world games. I've promised myself that I won't do it this time.

 

That's the main thing I hate about open world games and I'm kind of disappointed it's in this game but I'm trying to ignore it a bit and just focus on the main story now. I don't find it as bad as Witcher because I actually enjoy the combat in this and I find the car a lot smoother than the horse, ha.

 

It's caused me to not finish a few games... MGS: TPP most recently, and in Witcher I don't even think I made it to the main storyline lol. I'm going to make myself focus on the main story by making sure that I follow it every other time I play the game.

 

Gladiolus pulled me aside and told me to go do the next story mission already so I think I should stop fucking around in side stuff, hah.

 

the music playing when you are camping reminds me of music I hear in a elevator.

 

Yeah, I quit TPP because of it too although there were other reasons for that one too. It just feels like unnecessary padding to me and most of the side-quests are always the same thing, go to this place across this kind of pointlessly big open world and then bring something back to me.

 

To all my friends that have written the game off because it's Final Fantasy, but love The Witcher 3 and Skyrim, I've been describing it basically as "Japanese developers making a Western-style RPG." I don't think they fully believe me. Tabata and the team have really managed to capture just what makes those games so damn addicting and fun here.

 

It has the things that made me quit both of those games, I'm just dealing with it because it's Final Fantasy, ha.

 

Naw I haven't been there yet, it was part of the main story called Keycatrich Trench and the worst thing in there were level 7 goblins.
