2001 is better

 

The problem with 2001 is that the album was turned into a series of memes over time

Yeah The Chronic is whatever. Most 90s G-funk records never hit well with me

 

Forgot About Dre is one of the few Em songs I can still listen to

 

It is a *looks around nervously* ...good song

 

G funk is sick listen to more dj quik

 

Honestly, only about two thirds of 2001 is good. Wish it never had all those Hittman tracks

And yeah, Chronic hasn't aged well at all

 

Chaplain is right, DJ Quik made so many amazing records. I think Warren G had some great stuff too. Even now amazing G-Funk and music inspired by G-Funk is still being made, all thanks to The Chronic. I think 2001, though a good album in its own right (regardless if how I personally feel about it), spawned a lot of music in the 00s that I could have done without.

 

i can still listen to the first three em records no problem tbh

 

I've probably said it before but I don't think there is an artist I dislike more than Eminem.

 

Never said there weren't good G Funk artists nor denied the influence, the style was just never my favorite
