I think this can be said about a lot of my favorite bands: Senses Fail, Sum 41, Yellowcard, TBS, AFI, Story of the Year, ect. The response I get from my friends and co workers are usually "Oh, that band from highschool? They are still around?" I think that's just a case of top 40 used to be rock and we were lucky to live in a time where that was a thing.

 

None of those bands are good tho

Well that's just incorrect. Esp with SOTY and YC included. Yikes.

 

Can't stand either of those bands. And I'm from St. Louis where everyone worships soty. I just can't stand them though

 

I'm from here there too lol. They deserve it all, but much more. Don't know what there is that you can't stand, band is super talented instrument wise, songs are catchy and lyrics are positive, live shows are incredible. Sorry they don't jive with you

 

I tried getting into SOTY for years. Nothing ever really stood out to me as impressive. In The Wake Of Determination was okay I guess, but nothing that I hadn't heard before from pretty much every other band that came out of that scene.

Also saw them live the last time I ever went to Warped over Defeated and that was one of the bigger mistakes I've ever made at a show.

Also jimmy eat world only has three albums I like and none of them are from After futures

 

Is it an unpopularity opinion to say that TBS is bad? Because I think that is very much the case for pretty much everything post-WYWTB

 

I like SOTY and love Yellowcard, the others are pretty unremarkable

 

I still only know those 3 songs

 

I loved Page Avenue when I was younger.

 

Remember when they feuded with Godsmack? That was dope

 

I wish someone had that filmed. Was it so much a feud than them just getting beat up?

 

Didn't they write a song about it too?

 

I don't think so. Godsmack wrote Cryin like a Bitch about Motley Crew though I think.

 

TBS only gets better with each album, minus self titled. New Again, Happiness Is, and Tidal Wave are great rock records.

 

TBS is real bad

 

WYWTB is a real good album and i've never really been bothered by the fact that i didn't get into the rest of their records

 

TBS is great TAYF and WYWTB are peaks for sure but the other 5 are real good rock albums

 

TAYF is a complete horse's ass.

 

Louder now, new again, self titled, and happiness is are all varying degrees of bad. The other three are varying degrees of good.

 

Where You Want to Be, Louder Now and Self-titled are great. New Again is good. I don't care about any of their other albums

I only care about Louder Now really, but they have some other songs I like. Everything I've heard from Tidal Wave has been good
