I caught a 990 one yesterday and wondered if it was a glitch. Apparently not.

 

Calculator says it could evolve right into a 2500 Rhydon :O

Only dilemma is I have a 900ish Ryhorn with way better IVs... decisions.

I got mine about the 50th-60th common I caught!

How much is that? I don't really know what a lot is. I'm currently at 178,000. I don't usually let it drop below 160,000.

Decided to drive around today to all of the Magikarp spots in town. Only ended up pulling in six of them, and one of them turned out to be a Ditto. ha. I made a deal with myself that I'm going to keep playing this game until I evolve everything that's NOT a 10k Pokemon, then I'm going to stop. After looking at what I still need, I've realized how absolutely screwed I've gotten on those eggs.

Are you in a super small town? Because you're bound to eventually get lucky with a nest if not. I thought I would never get Kabutops but then a Kabuto nest showed up with the latest migration and I was able to get one in about 2 hours.

 

I'm on the outskirts of a mid-sized city. Basically there's not much besides the trails/parks and downtown.

But luckily they have been adding things that have never been in the whole city. Voltorbs were nonexistent until last week and now I'm two catches away. Other things, not so much.

 

Caught somewhere around 70-80 pokes past couple of days and still no ditto. Is it sticking around after the event is over?

 

Don't think anybody be knows. From what I've seen, people have mostly caught them from Rattatas and Magikarp.

 

It would be pretty weird to make it available for only week so I would assume not, but I guess Niantic has surprised us before...

 

Oh boy, one more Magikarp and two more Voltorbs.

 

Got Dewgong today! Should have Cloyster by the end of the week, and then I'm done. Nowhere near:

Kinda can't imagine spending so much time on this game and giving up at this point but I'm probably just stubborn.

Are all I have left. Walking my Dratini rn and I'm super close to a Venasaur. Almost don't want to catch the last couple bulbasaur because then it'll seem hopeless lol

 

For me, I just can't imagine ever getting those last guys I need. I've been able to get damn near everything by running my ass off, researching local FB groups to find out where to catch things, etc. but the 10ks can be impossible. I've only had three 10k eggs that I needed (12 others were duds) since this game came out!

Pretty soon, I'll be down to ten left...all 10k Pokemon. Even if I pump all my time into getting coins or just shell out cash for incubators, I will just be cycling through 5ks. It's just not worth the time since it's so out of my control, I guess. Not much strategy involved.

 

Yeah I feel you. I imagine there will be a Magmar nest around town at some point so I'm not too worried about that. I'm still salty about the Porygon that ran from me but a lot of people have gotten one downtown. Dragonite and Hitmonchan are gonna need a lot of luck tho...
