    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

That's the one song that I can actually listen to more than once and find some enjoyment in.

    Too much Tom stuff lol.

I thought the clips he's posted from his EP sounded absolutely hideous. So glad he won't be contributing to blink anymore. I really like Neighborhoods but the EP doesn't do anything for me. "Dogs Eating Dogs" is the only song I love on there. He doesn't have a single original creation left in him now, it's all recycling now.

After seeing that studio video of them, it's pretty disappointing that The Dream Walker didn't have better production. The songs could have been decent and some of those guitar tones sounded amazing in the video, but the actual record is so fuzzy. I know they talked about wanting the album to be less polished, but it just sounds blown out.

Have you had time to process leaving Blink-182?

I reflect on it all the time. I love Blink. I started that band. I named the band. I found the members. I put that whole thing together. I never meant for it to be the only thing in my life. I also never meant for it to ever not be in my life. But I am an artist, and I find pleasure in challenging myself to understand and learn, to create new types of art, and prove myself worthy of people's valued attention and admiration. It's what any artist desires. So when the challenge isn't there, then I find myself in a difficult position.

You felt like Blink had run its course.

I feel like it's our job as artists to compete for people's attention. That is valuable. With Blink, it was never boring. It never was like we couldn't challenge ourselves artistically. There's just a lot of differences in how to be challenged or how to attack the challenge. There's a lot of downtime. And in that downtime, I was always doing other things. I've always been that way—always will be that way. A lot of people are satisfied with just having that one thing in their life their entire life—and I envy them, by the way. I wish I was wired that way because it would make my life and relationships much easier. But I don't get off that way. I'm wired to really challenge my mind.

So what he is rly saying: i am such a multi layered, complicated artist, while mark and travis are more like kids with instruments. And Tom says he wishs he would be one of those kids again, but in reality he loves being adult and being able to watch greys anatomy.

    Psychologized!

    I am a haunted house. I'm superstitious.

I sincerely think Tom is misinterpreted most of the time. There's absolutely nothing wrong with him wanting to try different things. The only thing he just doesn't seem to understand is that the 'downtime' he says blink had was mostly caused by him and his different projects.

And I cringed when I read that he was the one that "found the members". C'mon, we all know the story about Mark's sister putting him and Mark together and both started the whole thing.

Tom's released about 90 new songs in the last ten years, which is a shit load really, it's not surprising they're not all super original or even all great.

I dig the new EP. Completely sounds like old riffs are being used but I still think it is a solid EP with i-Empire vibes.

I'm assuming this time they've got the 12-14 (mixed and mastered) songs picked. Let's get this thing packaged and in stores/on digital music platforms!

Does Blink do new releases on vinyl? It's been so long I can't remember.

  21. I have been out of town all weekend until last night and didn't have any access to internet. The whole time I was assuming that a tour announcement or single would be released and I wouldn't have known. Phew! Now that I'm back, they need to give us news :)

Haven't the Blink guys always been tight with Kerrang! in the UK? There could be a exclusive with them possibly, just speculating.

I think it's a half vacation / half work visit for Mark. He didn't want to send the songs directly to avoid the leaks, so he went to UK. Maybe he is doing some interviews / listening party with bbc radio / some announcement preparation.

Neighborhoods was released on vinyl. Dogs Eating Dogs ep was digital only.
