In Vogue is one of my favorite albums from that era of the scene. It just seems like the bulk of their fanbase couldn't care less about the two that followed. Which is a shame because they weren't bad.

Any Alesana headliner featuring a band that would end up being bigger after touring with them.

Within The Ruins just released a single and album announcement today. I could see them on for sure. Maybe Ingested or Black Tongue or some other slam band?

You know, since the topic of hilarious-in-hindsight tours are being bought up, how about another: diverse tour lineups (that aren't touring festivals). Here's some of my examples.

    Rise Against/Killswitch Engage/letlive. - 2015
    Every Time I Die/Story Of The Year/From First To Last - 2005
    Falling In Reverse/Attila/Metro Station/Assuming We Survive - 2015
    Meshuggah/Baroness/Decapitated - 2012
    Any Deftones tour, really

What about that HU and Atreyu co-headliner with ETF back in '09? That seemed like something.

Lmao had no clue this happened. Considering Buddy's rants about other bands on SF's last few Warped Tour runs, I'm sure he'd like to forget that happened.

    I kid, I kid. But seriously that's a doozy of a lineup.

    music is all we got

Wow, I wish I had gone to this tour haha. I'm so far removed from the -core stuff nowadays but DDG were such a great band, & I think they get brushed off/forgotten about too easily. and Woe, Is Me were no doubt a mess but Numbers is a fantastic record. This would have been fun. Sort of on this topic, on the Lead Singer Syndrome episode with Mike Hranicia a couple weeks ago, Shane mentioned that Craig from Rise once told him that he only signed The Devil Wears Prada because Drop Dead Gorgeous asked him to. If that's true, it says something about DDG's one time popularity.

Two of the weirder tour lineups I remember are Millionaires / Cash Cash / I Set My Friends on Fire / Watchout! There's Ghosts in 2009?? I think? and DRUGS / LMTF / Hit The Lights / Sparks the Rescue in 2012.

Thanks for the nostalgia trip ya'll haha.

Not a weird tour genre wise, but I love tours that would make zero sense if they happened today. Like the summer 2014 tour of Man O/ Transit/ Forever Came Calling/ Knuckle Puck, seems so out of place even just 2 years removed from the tour.

I went to that. Uproar Festival 2013. It was amazing. Danko Jones, Middle Class Rut, New Politics, and a few others on the side stage as well. Such a shame it sold like garbage. I remember the average Godsmack/Nickelback/Buckcherry listener that Uproar typically appealed to trashed the lineup on social media. It was very frustrating to watch.

In terms of placement, the Attack Attack! headliner back in like 2010 with Emmure, Pierce the Veil, Of Mice & Men and In Fear and Faith jumps out. Basically every one of those bands (besides IFAF) either grow to a similar level of popularity (in the case of Emmure) or grew way beyond it.

In terms of diversity, some of my favorites were (Pretty. Odd. era) Panic at the Disco, Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound, and Phantom Planet (not super diverse, but a lineup that covered a bunch of different spectrums of "alternative"), the DRUGS tour mentioned above, and the tour with Chiodos, Before their Eyes, A Loss for Words and Set It Off was pretty cool too.

Don't know if it would seem legit or weird, but I remember knowing Gojira went on a U.S. headliner in 2009 with support from The Chariot.
