It’s easy to say people on this site can talk about em responsibly, but then come all the random ghosts

 

They're like the flame to the worst moths out there. I'd rather people just talk about them in normal conversation amongst each other than have dedicated places for them like a thread, or actively promote them in any kind of way by giving them space on the news page.

 

You could have just said that from the beginning and no one would have cared or gotten into it with you lol. Others posts being excited about the band got ignored it’s not like there is a crusade going on

If that happens I wonder what would happen first, people talking about them responsibly and acknoweledge their past without ever talking about the case or "some random ghost" turn up with his scene police elitism and ask the thread to be closed because he don't deserve the platform to be talked about responsibly, exactly just like it happened here.

There’s so many other posts I want to respond to, and wasn’t gonna quote any was just gonna make a post, but really had to get this out….it seemed pretty clear by both 1. The timeline laid out by the victims and 2. The timeline of the bands actions that became way more clear in their reasoning after the allegations came out, that this was NOT something that just happened “decades before 2017”. It started somewhere in the early 2000s, and it was clearly still going on into the Daisy/post-Daisy era. If you don’t think the gap between Daisy and Science Fiction was due to internal strife within the band dealing with Jesse’s actions and what he did and was still doing at the time, I think you’re burying your head in the sand.

 

It was my understanding when all of this first came out that he had been doing it at least through the TDAG into the Daisy era..which if true makes the story he told (where he broke down crying on stage at the Ryman in like 2015-2016) about driving his girlfriend and current wife around in his car listening to the Daisy demos or whatever super gross.

 

understand if this is private, but what is this based off? I hear my friends saying the “it was so long ago” stuff but I have always felt his behavior was closer to when the allegations broke

 

Oh I have no insider info, just remembering (possibly misremembering to be honest) from reading various posts around the time everything was coming out.

Mainly I think that one of the victims was their photographer for a while and I think she worked with them at least until around when Daisy came out but that timing might be off.
