This sucks. The band is kind of dead without Connie and this tour announcement is an awful look at the end. Hope she does another project eventually.

are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

The whole thing is weird to me, and I'd love to know more because I'm a bit baffled a band can commit to a tour of this level without having the sign off of all members. The whole thing is confusing to me.

On the flip side of things based on what I've heard about some of their labelmates when it comes to their touring (Drug Church), Pure Noise themselves seem to be pretty flexible. DC seems to have pretty free reign with tour selection and curating so I don't thing this is on Pure Noise (though I could be wrong). Might be on their band management?

Would be a massive bummer if Connie left SYSC due to disagreements about touring with DGD. I hope she can get things sorted with the band/management.

In the meantime I’m gonna blast Coup de Grâce - that record took a while to grow on me but now I absolutely love it!

Hmm I wonder which band member I’ll still follow when all is said and done.

My assumption is they’re not gonna do the tour/May break up since they deleted the tour announcement off their social medias

Just seems like such a waste to leave a band you started with your sibling over disagreements about a tour.. obviously there may be other things at play here but I really hope Connie and SYSC can figure things out in time.

Disagreements about a tour seems like massively underselling the conflict here, no?

hearing other band stories sounds like it usually is a lot of building and escalating and then the thing that just makes everything implode. I’d assume a similar situation here.

There’s moral and principal dilemmas here for sure but it’s all related to a tour that it seems some people are down to do while others are not.

I get the issue at hand and I’m not trying to discuss one side or another - I’m just hoping that Connie and her sibling could find a way to figure out a path forward instead of imploding over this. Especially given how far they’ve come..

Hopefully, the band drops off the tour and SYSC works it out.
