Appreciate your response. For the record I am not in any American jurisdiction I am in England. I purposely didn’t put convicted sex offender (and lower case o) because someone can very much be a sexual offender - someone who has carried out an illegal sexual act, which is an offence - without being convicted in a court of law. This is the case here. A huge part of my work is putting interventions like Sexual Risk Orders in place to prevent further offending of these types of people because of their propensity to reoffend. What I didn’t appreciate was you definitively claiming it was wildly untrue because you misunderstood the post. I am fortunate (unfortunate?) to be one of the leads in the subject for England and Wales so I’d like to hope I know what I’m talking about - most of the time!

 

That must be a fun job to be doing in the contemporary UK where "grooming gangs" are a right wing canard. Props

Always loved the elitism and double standards of the music scene in general.
"We" seem to easily forgive child molesters, killers, "hiring a hitman on your wife" frontmans, etc. but to forgive one of the biggest band of "our own scene" for sending 16 -year old girls dicpicks in his early 20s 25+ years ago is something we can't pass. There are bigger issues out there.
