I don’t think he counts as a backup man lol he heavily outproduced the incumbent

he was also in a much stronger offense than BTJ and didn’t have issues with being under utilized much of the year like BTJ did

 

BTJ probably doesn’t get a lot of “with a backup QB” credit either considering the drop off from Lawrence to Mac is pretty minimal these days

 

Scoring 5 more TDs kinda weighs heavier in my book

Of the top 20 receivers BTJs average per catch was only beaten by Justin Jefferson, he was remarkably efficient too
