Thing I learned on tour:

I actually don’t think a place is ugly because it’s flat. I was surprised at how charming Indiana’s vast open plains were. There’s a huge windmill farm between Lafayette and South Bend, that was fuckin wild to see windmills as far as the eye can see. And how the sky lasts FOREVER. I didn’t like Florida being flat cause all you see is pine trees but it can absolutely be scenic in a different way than mountains are depending on the area.

Maybe a lot of middle America would surprise me (I doubt it with Kansas or Nebraska though lol)

I also saw legit frozen lake water for the first time. Of course not all of Lake Erie freezes but a good bit of it from the shore outward was fuckin rock solid. In Cleveland I threw a big ass square brick onto the ice and the brick broke and the ice didn’t lol that’s crazy if you’ve never actually seen that in person before
