I feel it, that's a downside of our state being the size of a country lol when a band usually does one date here it is usually in LA

 

the pain of being in Fresno is if bands do LA or SF it’s a 3+ hour drive and it’s on weekdays so even worse

Sacramento too is only like 2 and a half hours

 

Tour managers are not booking bands on mystery tours for the bands to discover down the road. Sure other openers drop/get added on after commitment but you know the headliner up front. Any band saying otherwise in these situations is trying to save face. It’s more likely the rest of the band/managent thought the offer was too good to pass.

 

i’m sorry but you can’t take a tour like that and then say “i actually didn’t want to do this” and have it be okay. seems pretty cowardly tbh.

 

I think a lot of people are misreading Connie's intention.

That is not a statement you make if you're planning to or want to keep do the tour. It reads to me like she's subtly trying to get SYSC kicked off without antagonizing stakeholders or violating an agreement. I could be wrong, but if I was DGD I would not want to bring a band on tour who's publicly subtweeting me lol.

For what it's worth though, it's not like Pure Noise is forcing them to the tour like some people are arguing. Odds are either the rest of the band members wanted to take the tour and Connie didn't want to break up the band over it, or there's some weird politics with their agents where they were coerced to take it.

 

Also RockFest Wisconsin in Caddott has its lineup incoming.

If the information I have is correct, it looks like Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, & Bad Omens are headlining. Knocked Loose, Poppy, In This Moment, Architects, WCAR, Scene Queen & more are on the undercard.

 

if that’s true, why take the offer in the first place? seems very weird to me to knowingly accept a tour like this and then immediately after it’s announced act like they’re doing it against their will.

 

Money, mainly. This tour paid their guarantee, others didn’t.

 

i get that, that just rings so hollow for me. just shut up and take the money at that point. no need to pretend you are morally opposed.

Even though i've seen some badass shows in Fresno like Deftones at Woodward park, Blink 182 last year and a lot like birds, yeah it is super out of the way of most shows, I wouldn't want to drive 6 hours round trip on the weekday especially on 99

Yep, It's always a weird mix of red state butt rock bands, with a sprinkling of emo bands, one hit wonders, and c-tier rappers.

 

C tier might be generous. Ja has released one album in the last 20 years and hasn’t had new music in 13.

 

Gotta pay back the Fyre Fest settlements somehow, right?

 

Oddly enough he was cleared of any wrongdoing because they couldn’t prove his involvement actually led to ticket sales. He couldn’t even draw fans for a class action suit.

 

Rockfest line up is baaaad. Taproot, Crossfade and Dry Kill Logic (the 25 year old nu metal bands) are the best bands over 3 days

 

Saw him recently and he killed all the Emarosa stuff live, went in the crowd, stayed after the show and chilled and took pics and stuff, was really nice and been clean for over 3 years and has custody of his kid dude is on the right track. I love his vocals would be cool if he was on the lineup and then came out to do a song with them. Andrew even said he voted for JC to be back in the band.
