Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Gonna be at the Toronto show

Poor baby, you're starting to lose it.

Already got VIP tickets to the co-headliner with Mastodon. The summer tour may be a StubHub day-of situation for me. I am all set on seeing TBS live any more.

C&C with Foxing makes a lot of sense but TBS feels out of place here

RE Someone who can - Very, very different from the last song they released that I loved so much, but I also like this one a lot too. Basically devoid of all the proggy and off beat timing that hooked me on the last single, and a more simple 'catchy' vibe but I dig it. Some cool guitar / synths and a great vocal performance from the beginning of the 1st verse.

Wish I was going to be able to make this tour with TBS but at the moment can't commit to it.

TBS and Coheed are buddies, Adam and Claud’s wives have a podcast together so I think it’s just a touring with your friends and bring the family along kind of thing

    Things have changed.

TBS and Coheed have been touring together since like 2003. Not out place at all.

well yes, obviously I know this, I've been to the tours in question. Let me revise my statement, I think they are out of place NOW. Foxing's latest album is their heaviest, Coheed just released one of their heaviest singles to date, and TBS's latest release is their least heavy and most alt-rock radio music. Foxing opening for Coheed fits incredibly well. Plus, Foxing and Coheed are both phenomenal live bands whereas TBS, well, you know. I just feel like in 2024, TBS doesn't fit this bill anymore

Has that Robbers/Sex/s/t sheen from the 1975

also what a fucking incredible song, didn’t think they had something like this in them. It’s a perfection of what they were going for on The Color Before the Sun

Very minor tidbit: I just saw that they called this album X on social media. I guess they view Afterman as one album, so I will choose to do the same anytime I'm ranking the discog.

Alright I can say this since Claudio covered Welcome to New York, but there's something very Swift-like happening during that bridge.

I typically view The Afterman as one collective album considering that it’s a double-album written/recorded during the same time period that someone in the band (I think Claudio) said was only split in half to make it more digestible for the listeners

the tour is weird only because, and I say this as someone who likes all three bands to varying degrees, Foxing are currently at their most wild and experimental, and TBS and Coheed are many years into......whatever the opposite of an experimental phase is lol. hopefully they'll pick up a few fans!

This is my favorite of the three songs released so far!
I plan on going to the Detroit show. It’ll be a good time.

Yep, one reason I've always felt drawn to Coheed was them being from Nyack, I grew up about 40 minutes north of there and know some people who would run into them in various local malls and such over the years haha

Kinda funny that they did a music video replicating them in their youth with a song that's so poppy that they wouldn't have ever really done in their youth lol, but maybe that's part of the charm of them doing that

As for the song itself, it's good like all Coheed but I'll be the lone Blind Side supporter as being my favorite song so far

I disagree, I feel like Coheed has experimented quite a bit with the last couple records. Experimenting doesn't just go one direction of genre.

I don’t think this is any more poppy than A Favor House Atlantic…or Feathers…or etc. etc.

This is just way more in line with the latest Boy Like Girls album, or The Band Camino type pop rock

This is hella poppy, even for poppy Coheed

Reminds me of The Pavillion most I think, where it’s just so out of left field pop rock that it almost doesn’t sound like Coheed

    I do like it though
