My 2025 prediction is that she'll announce reputation in February for an April release, then in July announce self titled for a November release.

second, i like that prediction.

 

saw someone on TikTok say that she essentially has until the end of July to announce the last two rerecordings as there's a limit on how many times she can renew the trademarks, so this sounds very likely.

 

bonus predictions: reputation will have a similar number of Vault tracks as 1989, including This Is What You Came For and I Don't Want To Live Forever. self titled will be a triple-disc release to close out the re-recordings, including a ton of early tracks

 

This feels absolutely false, haha. Sorry TikTok. Without any source, I don't see a world where the is an announcement clause on re-recording, because that's not how the whole thing works. Her original masters are owned by someone, and was barred from actually recording reputation legally but that date has passed. There is no latest date that she is allowed to release them because she is 100% on her own terms for the new music, it doesn't make any sense

 

having tons of songs on the debut would help with charting/numbers too because it’s definitely going to be the least popular re-recording

 

(I work in IP law sometimes and it’s actually correct. If they’re not announced by then, she’ll have to restart the process over entirely from an IP perspective (which isn’t that grueling of a process, but it does open a minor window for someone else to grab the trademark) since she’s out of extensions from her initial trademark filing.)

 

Gimme allllll the early material glow ups. I couldn't care less about Reputation TV haha, although I do want to hear the vault tracks. That one will probably be the most popular of all of these.

 

i get that, but i think it was referring to the specific trademarks for the names "Reputation (Taylor's Version)" and "Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version)", not the songs themselves. she's had them trademarked for a while and has renewed them several times, but the person who shared this news said there are so many times that you can renew a trademark for something that hasn't been released yet before that trademark lapses. i'm not an expert on copyright law, so i don't know if this is 100% accurate.

i at least want a rerecording of a leaked song/snippet i heard several years ago called Love is a Drug - dated back to the Rep album cycle. sounded like it would've fit in nicely.

 

also hoping for some great artwork for Reputation because the original cover looks like shit. the back cover for the physical copies would've made a better cover for sure.

 

Some of our local radio stations and Sirius XM pop stations have replaced all the old singles with Taylor’s Version singles. I haven’t listened to anything TV since they’ve been released, but it truly is some uncanny valley stuff with some of them. Like they almost get it right, but not quite. Some drums really stand out in not a good way.

I know this has been discussed to death, but it just came to mind again when I listened to the radio.

 

How would “This Is What You Came For” fit into TV? It is a Calvin Harris song and we only knew about the writing credit after.

At this point I could also see S/T having the Christmas EP attached to it.

 

methinks she'd probably do a separate release for the Christmas material (including Christmas Tree Farm - hopefully the old-timey version too). the other songs from Beautiful Eyes will definitely make S/T though.

 

I want nothing more than a re-recorded Taylor Christmas album with “Christmas Tree Farm.” Thought she might do that this year.

Grammy's will be the official end of TTPD era, but she won't announce anything before then since she won't want to pull any attention of her AOTY nominee. I doubt she announces rep AT the grammys again, but probably not long after with a release in May (best guess).
