Hilarious that a band that headlined MSG last year is demoted to playing a 1500-capacity club on Long Island.

My bad, thought for some reason the last few years were the second weekend of June. Fall Out Boy would be so fun as a headliner, thought someone also said Hozier was in play?

Was thinking the same thing. Has anyone reported back on how empty MSG was that night? I remember even weeks before the show the ticketmaster map showed it being like half sold.

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that its FOB. Their setlists have been fire lately and I'm kicking myself for missing their last tour.
I really hope its not Hozier. Didn't he just do 5 nights at Forest Hills Stadium last summer? It feels like overkill to have him back so soon.

cool, now why don’t you do something about your run of 4 Toronto shows where the cheapest ticket on resale is close to $600 CAD.

Yeah it was a four show run. I personally think he could've done five, dude is popping off. He's also released six more songs since playing those shows which could boost it. Travis/Olivia/FOB seems more likely though and much more profitable.

the same acts are touring each summer more and more. seems like rotating between A-market legs and then B-market/festival runs.

good example is Bonnaroo, almost every act in their top 20 did their major market run last summer and this year they’re doing select b-markets and fests.

it’s rare now that stadium acts are giving festivals their first-run show or era kickoff. Theres too much money to be made on solo tours. Coachella had to pay out the nose to get Gaga’s era debut this year.

I guess I shouldn't admit to liking some Wallows songs in here. They're not like amazing or anything and I wouldn't pay to go see them on their own, but I've definitely heard worse bands and I'd catch them if they were at a festival or something.

If they got a FOB/Vampire Weekend day at GovBall it might just be enough to get this 40 year old back to the fest for an evening

Definitely notice this trend. Lolla especially tends to be one of the final stops for an era. SZA, Dua Lipa, Ariana, blink, billie eilish, etc. have all done it in the last few years.

Honestly I kind of like the trend because it gives me a sort of last call to catch a tour that I maybe regretted missing (SZA) or want to catch again with lower stakes.

Agreed, the only time it sucks is when you shell out $1000 last summer to see ORod, Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, Hozier, Avril, and Justice (2x) then that ends up making up the top lines of your favorite fest this upcoming summer.

Pretty much what’d you’d expect for a lineup from them. Still a great lineup though
