Steichen: 25%
Richardson: 10%

main thing I’ve heard is that Irsay doesn’t have the cash flow to buy out both Ballard’s and Steichen’s multiple years left on their contracts, so they’d probably do a front office shakeup and give the coach a lame duck year before letting the GM pick their coach

 

We just put down a deposit for a puppy we’ll get in May. Hopefully it’s cute.

I just do not get paying for a dog

I've got 3 that I love that were strays or given away

are they perfect, absolutely not, but they needed a home and they've made me and my wife's lives infinitely better

 

All of our pets have been given to us except our Corgi who I got on Craigslist for $100

I generally agree.

we’ve always been shelter dog people (we’ve never had the find a dog on the side of the road experience). But our last one came with a ton of behaviors we couldn’t seem to train out of him and he also came with a bunch of medical issues no one told us about (but should have been known). So we’re a bit soured on that experience.

also, we’re have the puppy trained to be a service dog for my autistic son, and it would need to pass temperament testing which is must easier if you go the buy a dog route.

 

I hate when people use the term “adopt” for animals. But that’s just me.

 

we've rescued/adopted all our dogs. my dad buys his dogs from a breeder but he uses them for hunting so they're bred/trained from the start to hunt so it's a little different when they're working dogs like that.

 

oh yeah, I totally understand the reasons why people may go a different route, especially if it's a service animal. like, it has a job lol

I just can't picture myself ever paying for a very specific animal is all

My (wife's) grandmother is also not doing well, which sucks. She's 92 and basically the best human being on the planet, so we are all extremely bummed.

Technically back to work today and tomorrow but other than logging into Teams, i'm not actually gonna be productive.

Yeah. My whole life my parents would rescue dogs or get dogs and cats from people. We had like an acre of land and my dad had a woodshop on the property, so there was plenty of space for a ton of animals.
