If people smarter than me think he’s a tackle, leave him on the board. I’ve read a looooot of analysis on him and it’s been like 50/50 which is why I’m a bit more drawn to Simmons

 

I think he's a Rashawn Slater kind of tackle where people will have him at 4, maybe even 5 different positions.

 

Maybe even 6 positions

 

I’ve fallen in love with this kinda idea:

Trade down from 2 to 4 or 6. Take those assets and trade up from the second round to 7

Select Carter at 6
Select Banks/Simmons at 7

you’re probably right — he’s just SUCH a Ballard CB on paper/fit for what the Colts have always done on defense and we won’t have a pre-draft process to calibrate where he should land that I’m stumping for taking him early or risking missing him

obv this all goes out the window if they do the thing and fire Ballard and I can get excited about guys like Barron instead

IMO yes, Diggs a FA coming off an injury, Dell likely missing 2025, Schultz a shell of himself

I don't trust the guy that took Kenyon Green at 15 drafting IOL that early, use FA instead and later rounds

team needs quality young pass catchers since Metchie/Hutch are JAGs

This needs to be a playmaker focused draft
