Loved that match although I wish anyone but Mox won

 

But yeah, this angle needs to die. We just watched a crowd pop hard as hell for heel wins (Okada, Mercedes, Takeshita) after great matches...and just die for this shit

 

Someone should pin Mox and then Christian should immediately cash in

 

Yeah this show is ending early. I won’t complain but that match was definitely a bit underwhelming. Weakest match outside of Cole/MJF. Overall a very good night of wrestling though so I can’t complain.

Sucks is hyperbole. It’s not that bad. It’s just a bit much at times.

 

Felt like the most collision main event match instead of a PPV main event

Nah, Vince wouldnt have understood it. Mox pitched him this exact angle upon returning in like 2018 and Vince gave him shots to the ass. He's literally cutting iterations of the promos he did in that WWE Chronicle. It was all "willing to die to fight" kinda stuff, after his near staph death, and his angle for going after the belt was real similar.

 

Edge being the the top babyyface going for the title leading into the AEW Max run makes sense

I’ll just pretend the PPV ended after Kenny and Okada and give it an A-

 

I guess - this is a fine explanation and it sounds fine on paper I just don’t think it’s been executed very well

 

Honestly, the best iteration of the angle is that...except Luchasaurus costs him that shot. A Christian/Luchasaurus feud into DoN or All In, and Copeland takes the belt at Revolution to drop it to someone fresh

 

But also maybe having two “save AEW” angles in one year is doing a disservice to the Mox stuff

 

I hope Luchasaurus is well but I’d be fine never seeing that gimmick again
