Okay, let's just chill a minute here. Wait until *checks notes* 14 years from now, then this comparison will be accurate.

 

Pretty sure Reeves intends on finishing this and not delaying until he turns to dust.

 

Part 3 is the new A Dream of Spring

 

Maybe the success of The Penguin caught them by surprise and they want to incorporate him and other characters more.

I'm just not dialed into television in general these days, tbh. But, I saw that clip of Penguin being chill with trans sex workers, so I’m like, hey. Maybe he is worth spending time with.

I imagine they like the idea of giving plenty of time to spare for finalizing the script, all the way through post production, without rushing. And that green lighting Clayface for that same year gives them a good excuse to give more time.

This really hurts. I'd be okay with letting them take so long if there wasn't an entire new continuity being started that really needs one of its pillars in it. I know what has been refuted but I really wonder if this means they are trying even more to get Battinson into the DCU. Could they be testing the waters with Clayface?

 

I truly think he won't be attached to the DCU

 

More studios should let films get delayed if it means they’re given more time to get it right. Having to hit arbitrary deadlines is how you get rushed slop.

I don’t want it attached to the DCU either. I just want this to come out :(. Hopefully reeves can be a little quicker with part 3

 

Part 3 will end up being an adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns with Pattinson at the proper age at this pace

 

Feel like he's picking some extreme examples, but he's not entirely wrong.

 

It seems Reeves has some personal stuff going on in his life. Think that’s all the delay is and giving him time to write the best script he can while navigating all that. Highly doubt it’s Part 3 included or joining the DCU.
