damn that one take camera shot when Elgin drives Fatima and Ellis to the clinic. that was impressive as hell

the writers really paired Jim and Randall together without a single braincell between them huh lol

 

I loved the end of s2, went full on Nightmare on Elm Street there. this show is getting better and better, even my mum's hooked just from walking through while I was watching it

 

jesus christ the ending of s3 episode 1 is fucked up. I've seen some mean spirited shit in horror but that was just unbelievably harsh

 

this season isn't really grabbing me so far honestly. a lot of circular storytelling going on that's kinda frustrating to watch, like Tabitha getting out and doing basically nothing for 4 episodes just to bring some whatever characters with her (okay Victor's dad is alright but the blonde cop might be the worst character on this show lol, makes Randall look interesting)

feels like most of the characters are either going in circles too - like how many times are we gonna see Boyd and Donna have the same argument - or just getting full on character assassinated like my sweet boy Elgin, I'm already super bored with this knockoff Rosemary's Baby subplot lmao. my dude Jade is absolutely holding down the show right now, he's the only one who's consistently entertaining and actually trying to advance the plot

 

second worst behind only Ethan

 

I would rather watch Ethan than quite a few other characters at this point lmao. Jim, Ellis, Fatima and cop lady come to mind. actually I think the Ethan and Julie scenes have been one of the better parts of this season tbh

 

yeah wrapped up s3 with my mum last night and we were both feeling pretty underwhelmed with it. the children storyline which was easily the most interesting to me going the time travel/reincarnation route was not my favourite choice and I think next season will have to do a bit of work selling that. the Fatima/Elgin subplot was straight up bad and just seemed like they were scrambling for a way to bring back that main Smiley guy cos he's a fan favourite

poor Kristi/Kenny basically had nothing to do all season but most of the other characters are extremely unlikeable at this point so it could be worse I suppose. pretty much watching for Victor and Jade at this point lol. props for killing Jim though because I genuinely could not stand another season of that dude's acting, some of the worst I've ever seen

 

I mean he's definitely going to be in future seasons still. Most dead characters all keep showing up.

 

lol yes hopefully it will significantly reduce his screentime though. I don't think I can watch him argue with Tabitha for another second of time tbh

still think killing Father Khatri so early was a big mistake by the writers, such an interesting character got shafted but we get two seasons of Randall instead

 

I think the acting is fine, he's just written to be very unlikeable haha

 

I think it's both frankly lmao. that scene a few episodes before the end where he was yelling at Jade in the bar was just absolutely painful acting. pretty much any time he raised his voice it was truly bad
