ewan mcgregor and a few others too but i agree it’s hard to compare

 

seems like euphoria is the new version of this

 

McGregor is an interesting example. He was the star of Trainspotting but while that film was iconic in some circles it obviously isn't Star Wars.

When it comes to Star Wars I usually think of how often those actors don't take off. Hamill in the original, Christensen in the prequels, and Ridley in the sequels. Ford, Driver, Isaac, Portman, Neeson, and McGregor had all done some major work before but for some reason the leads never go much further.

 

I’m curious if we’ll say the same about Riverdale in a few years. I doubt it, but Lili Reinhardt was great in Hustlers and Melton rocked in May December.

Similarly, I’m surprised Degrassi doesn’t have too many successful albums given the sheer volume of actors who passed through over the years.

 

Degrassi has a certified pedophile though

feels like melton is the only one of those that will make movies that don’t end up on TNT three months after they’re released

 

Euphoria is a hindrance to that cast at this point and Sam Levinson needs to piss off already.

 

Pretty much the main cast of Riverdale have starred in films but so far it's Charles Melton and Lil Reinhardt have big futures ahead of them

Not really speaking of quality. Sam Levinson sucks, but there’s no doubt the show is/was a star-making machine.

 

She did a mediocre teen romance drama at some point I think? That project sounds promising though

Zendaya was already pretty popular from her kids show/pop phase and was likely already gonna be a star. But I feel like it gave careers to Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter and likely Angus Cloud.

 

It's a piece of shit and everyone involved in its production should be embarrassed

 

Dakota Johnson was visibly embarrassed on screen. That final scene is dripping with it.
