I’m set to do a total of 5 with this company I’m interviewing with.

phone screen, hiring manager, two with the directors of teams I’ll be working alongside and a “values” interview to round it out.

and that’s with the hiring manager deciding there were too many interviews and shortening the process. The values one is a company thing so he can’t ditch that sadly.

 

I got my job without doing a single interview. I came onboard as a temp cause they were in dire straits so I literally started the very week after I was offered the contract.

Then my boss remembered me when they needed someone permanent for a new location and the rest is history.

 

My last position for Nielsen I did 3. A screener phone interview with the HR recruiter, another phone interview with HR and the hiring managers, and then a final in person interview with the hiring managers.

I hate job interviews with a passion and have embarrassingly bombed a few of them, luckily with my final in person one my friend who was interviewing too went the day before me and told me all the questions they were going to ask and I had time to come up with answers and rehearse. We both ended up getting hired. If you ain't cheating you ain't trying.

 

I’m back in Ohio for Christmas, and just saw a guy i knew from high school who was speaking to the news about being on strike at Starbucks. This guy was definitely on 4chan/terminally online in the early 10s. Pretty sick.

I worked in ER registration before becoming a tech. So I was familiar to the director but worked for a different manager.

I applied, let him know, and he bugged the SHIT out of HR to get my interview scheduled, which took 10 minutes on a break. He bugged them again and I was offered the job officially after like 28 hours lol. In the interview he basically asked if I knew what color scrubs to buy. Ha

 

Every December since 2019 it feels like I'm preparing myself, bracing if you will, for the turn of the year, slapping my hands together and saying "alright New Year, whatcha got for me", wondering if the next year could possibly be worse than the last. I have not been disappointed yet.
