1408 is seriously an underrated banger of a horror film. It took me years to watch it.. not a Cusack guy at all, but that movie goes hard.

 

Another year and another instance of me strongly recommending Anna and the Apocalypse

 

I hope that body horror makes a true comeback in the wake of The Substance, make David Cronenberg proud.

 

Oh my god hahaha the Adult Swim Yule Log sequel is just as insane and surreal and fun as the first one. Basically a Hallmark horror movie this time around until it turns into a Lynchian version of The Thing for the final half-hour. Highly recommend, feel like @OhTheWater would like these movies if he hasn't seen them yet.

Onto Curtains

 

Is Curtains for Christmas available to stream somewhere?

 

I actually don't even know what Curtains for Christmas is, I'm talking about the slasher Curtains from 1983

 

Speaking of, sometimes I remember Phantasm being called Z-grade horror because of how bonkers it is and that's honestly how Curtains feels to me. There are narrative gaps and unintentional editing decisions that somehow make the movie even better, especially if you're sleepy and/or inebriated. Fever dream stuff. Love the use of clips in this OPN video, I think the hag makes is one of the scariest I've seen in a slasher.

Yule Log sequel is a fun one for sure. Loved the body horror. Got my ticket for Nosferatu Christmas Day at 10am!

 

LOVING Yule Log 2 so far. Helps that I just finished a particularly bad Hallmark Christmas movie.

Just watched Dial Code Santa Claus for the first time and it absolutely fucking rocked. Definitely going to be watching it again on future Christmases.

OG Black Christmas tonight. I fucking love this movie. Billy is hands down one of the scariest villains of all time.

 

watching The Conjuring 1 and 2 with the family this Christmas Eve, the consensus is that 2 is better these days. as much as I hate everything to do with the Nun afterwards the twist in this movie rules
