This thread is evidence that one person's disputed credit card charge is another person's pleasure.

some of the quotes in that article….I mean I get it, you don’t have a screen and a sound system that will be loud enough for 35k-50k. That’s a problem. Who gives a shit if it’s an independent promoter if it’s not worth the money.

The audacity of how the article closes is astounding:

In some moments, Jersey fans can act boorish and entitled.

The fans who are stating “never again” about the Bamboozle and Sea Hear Now are overly spiteful, and not appreciative of the uniqueness of these two homegrown Jersey festivals. It seems like they’d be happy with a cookie-cutter music fest from a national concert promoter.

Instead, let’s give the Bamboozle and Sea Hear Now the benefit of the doubt — they’ve earned it.

The audacity of the fans who spend hundreds of dollars and then can’t move, can’t see, and can’t hear halfway back….

Pretty disingenuous article. It paints the picture that Bamboozle got canceled because too many jerks were complaining online about the lineup. But in actuality the festival got canceled because they literally didn't even apply for any of the necessary permits.

This is the first year I've heard any rumblings about Sea Hear Now having any issues. Maybe I just wasn't paying close enough attention but... Both of the cited issues are pretty easily fixable next time around.

It doesn't quite compare to the shit shows that were Bamboozle (in planning) or Blue Ridge Rock (in execution). It's apples and oranges, as far as I'm concerned.

Sure, give Sea Hear Now another shot. But holy wow, fuck Bamboozle forever after that last round.

I always consider going to Sea Hear Now each year but then I remember the hellish train ride for Bamboozle in 2012.

    Die rad.

I did Sea Hear Now 2021 & 2022 and saw no issues. Great vibes. Didnt go this year though.

I did SeaHearNow in 2021....def needed more water stations/food closer to the main stage....overall though having a music fest on the beach was awful imo....can't wear sandals/barefoot for fear of someone stepping on your feet and can't wear sneakers cause they will get full of sand...just my 2 cents

John D is going to have to appear before NJ federal court to explain himself for many things.

No link to an article as of yet or anything, just Someone involved in Jersey booking said the suit that was filed last year is moving to federal court.
